Once Upon A Time...

I've had a migraine hitting highs and lows the last few days, at the moment I think it's heading to another high, but while it's under control and I'm able to sit still in the quiet I was able to stitch the first two blocks from Bea's "Once Upon A Time" free BOM.

The first was Rapunzel, but I opted out of the long tresses cascading from the window. I think I'll add something similar when the quilt top is finished and I'm onto the actual quilting.

The second block is the Frog Prince, the golden ball in the pond being an old earring that I've turned into a button. I have a number of beautiful 'antique' lone earrings I have collected at op shops, always waiting for an idea on how to use them. This block was perfect for giving one such earring a home.

Happy sewing!
Jenny

They look so beautiful Jen. You are so clever with your hands! I still can't believe you only recently started stitching. Looks like you've been at it for years....
