Revealed... ~ GIVE THANKS ~ ...my 2011 BOM!

Good afternoon friends! I hope everyone's New Year has been a day of blessings. Ours was very quiet, but sometimes the quiet days are needed, aren' they?

Today I am sharing with you part 1 of my 2011 BOM, "Give Thanks". First off, let me tell you about this BOM and what inspired me to design it.

Over the last couple of years there have been many challenges facing our nations, our world, our neighbours, family, friends, and our own lives. When struggles occur it is far easier to focus on the sorrows and trials than on the continuing goodness that still exists in our lives.

This BOM is my small attempt to have our hearts and thoughts dwell on those good things for which we can give thanks.

This month, January, we shall make the wall hanging part of the BOM. Then from February 1st – December 1st I’ll share a small stitched verse of thankful inspiration, made up into a mini hanging that you can display in the blank centre section of the wallhanging.

If you know of someone who is struggling, I encourage you to make one for them as well, or even to use the mini-hangings each month as encouraging postcards you can mail out, or even display in small frames.
Whatever you choose to do with this BOM, I pray sincerely that it blesses you through 2011.

You can download the pattern for Part 1 of "Give Thanks" HERE
As with all my designs, I encourage you to send me photos of your completed projects, or a link to your blog post about it.

NOW - something a bit extra, and for some fun.
Please add my "Give Thanks" button to your blog sidebar...

...and let people know about it. Once you have done that, leave a comment here and you'll go in the draw for something very special and secret that I can't tell you about until tomorrow. Trust me, you'll love it!
If you don't have a blog, please email all your crafty friends and tell them about "Give Thanks"! I'll accept your comment/entry on the honour system. :-)
Hugs
Jenny of Elefantz

thank you, jenny, for the 'sweet' mini wall hanging pattern. special gratitude for including those of us without blogs in your drawing. some of us have many responsibilities caring for invalid mothers or loving our grandbabies so their parents can work, leaving very little time for our own blogs. i relish the time i do find to stitch a bit, and it's very nice not to feel left out. "kudos" to you and your thoughtfulness!

Jenny-girl, this is so lovely, and I really love the sentiment behind it - I think it's just perfectly wonderful! Got your button up and will be happy to tell all about it next blog post - wait, that's not for four days, I don't think I can keep it a secret that long, lol!

Jenny, this is really neat. I know just the person who could use some spiritual uplifting, and I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what to do for her. This will be great.

I also am trying to put your button on my blog, but I don't see the HTML to do so. Can you help me with that a little? Sorry to be such a pin when you are so generous to offer these things.

I just discovered your blog from Allie Oops. It is awesome. I think you are in Australia? I lived near Melbourne for 3 months when I did my student teaching. I loved it. :-) Thank you so much.

Oh, Jenny, I just had to tell you! I loved your fabric choices, but had no idea what they were. This usually doesn't concern me--I just use what I have, or what I like best--but yours were SO PERFECT that I was a little disheartened. Just today, though, my postmistress brought me some fat quarters that I'd ordered with a gift certificate. I ORDERED BLISS, BECAUSE THERE'S SO MUCH BUZZ ABOUT IT! I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES--THAT'S WHAT YOU USED! I'm in a tiny town with no fabric shops anywhere, I had no idea! I'm so happy, I'm just praising God! Mine won't look anywhere near as good as yours, but the fabric will be lovely! Talk about GIVING THANKS!

Oh, and a couple of friends of mine from other states are doing this right along with us! Happy, happy, happy...
