Lazing on a sunny afternoon...

Princess Sophie is lazing...
...I cannot imagine me sleeping like that. ;-)
~~~~~
I spent an hour on Friday making up Kathryn's Tutu Lavender Sachet pattern...
Very simple to make, but SO sweet! I have had this for months but just haven't had the time to make it. Now that New Beginnings has drawn to a close I am able to get back to stitching other people's designs.
(By the way, have a look at our Gum Trees blog for Joy's photo of the last of the sewing caddies and kits ready to be handed over to QLD Quilters! It looks like we've been able to collect around 800 kits!! Thank you to everyone who contributed!)
Last night I finally finished the stitching on Kaaren's Huswif. This was one of Kaaren's First Friday freebies last year and though it is not my usual style, I loved it. I have spent the last two weeks stitching it, grabbing 10 minutes here and there. Slow and steady brings about a result, so I'll continue with that mindset in future when I am in busy-mode.
 The thread is a variegated grey. I felt black was too harsh as this is the fabric I intend using for the cover.
Another project I played around with on Friday night were these little fabric gift bags from Lisa's tutorial. It was late at the time and I made a mistake on the square measurement so they are a bit smaller than the original pattern. I'll get it right next time, but they are still really cute.
I have really enjoyed stitching the designs of others!
Today we're off for our ride. Will have to put the stitching aside for a few hours...
Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs
Princess Sophie you made me laugh!
Love all your beautiful projects Jenny. Sometimes it really is just so much fun to make instead of design. :)
Happy trails to you and Mr. E. on your riding adventure.
Jenny just love the TUTU and thank you. I have been looking and trying to remember that blog site so that i could buy that pattern. I had been on trying to find it and went blog hopping over to your blog and could not believe that you had the pattern and had just made it up. Yes i have been straight over and have now bought the pattern. Was thinking that would make it up for my nieces for Christmas this year.
Hope you all have a great weekend
Hugs and thanks
What gorgeous projects, Jenny. Kathryn always designs such pretty things and she's lovely, too. And those little bags that Lisa designed are very sweet.
Lovely projects you have been stitching. It must be nice for a change to just stitch without having to keep records and write up a pattern. I love the poses cats have while napping. I hope you had a great ride today.
Princess Sophie, OMGosh....what a hoot! She looks so much like our latest family member, She Who Must Be Obeyed who is now 3 years old. I'll have to post a picture of her soon on my site. I love your new project, too. Always a fan of the willow tree designs. Have a great week, Dear. Hugs
Haha - Hermoine sleeps that way too, but she's about 5 times larger - somehow she doesn't look as cute as Sophie! Jenny-girl your projects are gorgeous, I do like the grey floss with that fabric. YUM. Enjoy your ride, both of you!!!!!!!
