GIVE THANKS ~verse 7~

Did you think I had forgotten about my Give Thanks BOM?
Sorry it has been a while since I shared the last verse, but I draw them up as the inspiration comes along, and this is exactly what happened yesterday.
This month I am giving thanks for family...

Our families are very diverse, and the members equally so.
We go through hard times and seasons of immense happiness. Struggles and triumphs walk side by side in most families, our family being no exception.
The last 9 months or so have been challenging for us behind the scenes, and through it all I daily thank God for the gift of my family, for being able to mother and wive, for having the opportunity each morning to put my feet down on the floor and start a new day with a fresh hope and a willing heart to show my love and to serve those God has placed within my home and life.
I don't always achieve that daily goal, but when I do it is by the immeasurable grace of God.
The Psalm I have used in this verse is the Psalm my husband and I shared with each other on our wedding day, and to this day I read over it regularly to remind me yet again of the blessing I have in this beautiful family we share.
~~~~~
I also thought it was time to make a bag to store all the extra verses in when they are not being used on the wallhanging...
I haven't shared the pattern for the bag as I just made it up as I went along, but I have shared the embroidered block design on the front in this month's pattern.
You can download the pattern for Verse 7 and the block design on the bag HERE.
Just google 'drawstring bag tutorial' and you will find many lovely patterns to make a bag or pouch yourself.  THIS is a very easy one, as you make it any size using the basic steps.
Remember, I love to see photos of your blocks, so please email me or leave a comment with a link to your blog so I can have a peek. Soon I will do another Show &Tell and then feature your work for everyone to see. :-)
~~~~~
Today I am home to play in the sewing room for the morning, then off to school for the Grade 11 sewing class. I went to iron some fabric and look what happened!
So I moved her off and she settled elsewhere...
Oh, the life of a cat.
Hugs,
Jenny

PS: For those who have asked about where to purchase the 50's themed BOM I am still stitching, "The Sewing Circle" by Robyn Allen Waters, it can be purchased through Robyn's online store HERE.

Love it dear girl! I think I'll make mine with two boys...*G* Love the drawstring bag to put the verses in, I've only completed two and I have them both hanging - I'll probably hang mine all around, as I can't leave just one up, I like to look at them all! Thank you! Sophie looks awfully happy there girl, I think she's sticking close because you keep going off on bike trips!

I don't know why I missed verse 7 for 'Give Thanks' but thank you anyway. You are cleaning up for spring and we are still waiting for the summer. Our grass has never been so green in July. We only get rain.
