Waving from Mackay....

It's day three of our five days in Mackay. We arrived late Wednesday night and Mr E started his course on Thursday morning. During his absence all day I have the motel room to myself. The plan was that I would get a lot of sewing done, but...life happens and not as much work as I'd like has eventuated thus far.
The morning began well with a coffee, Bible study and prayers out on the balcony.

...but then things got hectic. I was running all around Mackay for an internet stick most of Thursday afternoon, and then I got a bit flustered with some more running about (for some groceries this time) and reversed the car into the back of a ute ('pick-up truck' for those in the US)!
My back right tail light smashed to pieces but fortunately the other car had not even a scratch to show for our altercation. A strange city, a car accident, and a migraine - by 9.30pm I decided to end the day and head to bed with hopes for a brighter day in the morning.
Indeed, dawn broke and the day so far has been a good one. \o/
I have purchased a new tail light, cheered myself with a trip to the hairdresser, got some sewing done at last, and it's only 2.30pm!

I want to show you a peek at the new Affirmations design for Issue 4 of Elefantz HOME.
The fourth in the Affirmations designs is called 'BLOOM in your own pot" and it's so pretty.

Also in Issue 4 will be a new Oopsie Daisy design (I showed these few peeks in a previous post, but will show you the entire design next week when I get back home)...
Continuing the Circles of Life BOM this month I'm be sharing the three mini blocks. Here is one of them...
This fourth Elefantz HOME issue also has a project from a guest designer!
Cath Walker's cute Raggedy Doll stitchery is adorable. She has named it 'Jenny's Annie'. I'll share a photo in my next blog post.
If you want to subscribe to Elefantz HOME magazine you can do so by clicking the Paypal button below.
It is just $4 per month and you always receive at least three new designs, but usually it's four! There are also articles, hints and tips, and insight into my world. If you decide at any time to cancel your subscription that is fine. :-)
 ~~~~~
If you're on my free newsletter subscribers list you'll receive the latest newsletter next Monday. I am offering a free design in this next newsletter, so if you haven't subscribed yet just pop your email address in that box up on the right hand column of my blog page and you'll be blessed with this new Ellie design in the Monday newsletter!
Originally I was going to put this Ellie design in my Elefantz HOME magazine, but decided I'd like to share her for free. :-)
I'd best get back to that stitching before it's time to pick up Mr E.
I'll be home and able to chat again in a few days!
Hugs
Jenny
One little lack of concentration and whoops a broken tail light --- Pity you couldn't unpick it --- As a bible study leader for years I have often had ladies say I am a catholic and we don't study the bible , I know this to be wrong as most of my friends are R.C. So when I see your post Ican cheerfully say well Cs do you know and they are wonderful people , then in a softer tone perhaps you didn't need to study until now.
Jennie you have so much going on in your life all around you at the moment it is only to be accepted that a minor "whoops" may crop up but thats okay, life happens. Your migraine was just a little reminder to relax and you did. Life is going to be so wonderful for all of you when you decide on your future as you will feel so much more settled and surrounded by constant comfort and warmth from all around.
big hugs sweet
Jenny, I really like the teapot design - very nice.
I am glad that nothing more than a taillight was all that was hurt. I am also glad your headache is over, too.
I am glad that the next day turned out better for you. A migraine can make things so much worse.
Your new designs are so pretty.
What a busy Thursday you had! Perhaps you needed a bit of hectic so that you could appreciate slowing down and focusing on your art. I know I appreciate my writing and art more after I have been running about for a while. The slower pace becomes a welcome blessing in my otherwise busy life. :o)
Beautiful designs you are working on!
Peace and Laughter!
