Close your eyes...

Go on, close them.
Then count to three...

Open up - surprise!
I've had a hair cut!
A rather drastic hair cut.
The kind of haircut where the stylist keeps asking, "More?"...and you answer, "Yes, more...take it all off."

Bliss.
Much cooler for the tropics, and definitely a bonus with all those hot flushes I contend with.

Remember the free 'Friendship' stitchery I shared last month?
If not, you'll find it HERE.
Today whilst cleaning out some sewing bits and pieces I came across some fabric that looked perfect to frame the block, so I did just that!

The aged gold painted frame was hiding in a drawer, and when I lay the block, fabric and frame in front of me it was as though they were living out the verse in a rather odd way.
The threads, fabric and frame - three parts that had just made quite a lovely whole...

I'm almost ready to share the next free block in my Scripture series, but this one is inspired by a favourite old hymn...

I framed it today, and will write the pattern tonight.
All going as planned, you'll have it to stitch tomorrow.

So, I guess I'll see you then?

hugs

I love your haircut Jenny! I have mine cut short too and I will never go back to long hair. If only short hair didn't stick out all over in the morning!! Your stitching is always so lovely and inspiring. Thanks for all you share with us!

Love the haircut Jenny, looks great. Funny thing I'm toying with the idea of shorter hair...maybe not as short as yours.
The stitchery is very nice, it's great when things fall into place.

Love, love, love the new hairdo - when we lived in Kenya I always had short hair like that - tho' mine looked hacked a bit as fine straight hair was always a bit more difficult for my hairdresser to do than the locals curls as we lived up country not in the city. Ha!...

Love the haircut so much! It fits you to a Tee!! Love the pink glasses frames, also! Can't wait to see your new design completely. The framed piece is beautiful!

What a brave woman you are to cut it all off - it is absolutely perfect. You look so happy :) The stitcheries are beautiful. Oh to stitch faster . . .

Gorgeous Jenny! I always had very short hair when I lived in Brisbane as the humidity would make long hair turn into one big ball of frizz!

I like your hair. I like your pink glasses too. I have short hair too. So much easier and definitely nicer in our humid summers.

I like your hair cut. But it was your complexion that really impressed me. It is absolutely perfect.

You look great with your hair that short, I wish I could wear mine like that but it just doesn't work for me. Your stitchery looks beautiful framed.

Nicely framed! Love your haircut. I've been thinking about doing that very thing, since I can't seem to learn to braid my own hair anyway! You may have just encouraged me. =)

You look great! I know what a shock it can be - I did it a few years ago for a camping trip. You'll feel lighter than air - and a lot cooler! Take care.
