Heather: our hostess with a heart of gold...

Yesterday we had  a sewing day at Heather's and after all this time I thought I should share a bit more about my lovely friend!

She is an amazing cook...

...and stitches beautiful things for her home.

(free stitchery pattern here at Bakercourt)

She likes to test out my tutorials...

...and give my designs her own sweet spin.

Her creative space is welcoming, and I often go in and don't come out for a loooooong time...

In fact when she finds me I get escorted out if she discovers the odd fat quarter bundle or two hidden under my shirt...

It's so neat and organised. I love organised.

But the nicest thing?

Wendy couldn't make it today and we sure missed her sunny smiles, but with the remaining four of us around the table the laughter flowed and the stitching slowed as usual....

Barb is making a pretty bunting banner for her niece from the Rosedaisy Alphabet pattern. What a great idea! Read how Barb prepared this project here on her blog...

Michelle is busy stitching pockets for a bag design. You can see how she created these blocks here on her blog...

I worked away on my newest stitchery design which features two of my favourite Cottage Garden threads, Cherry Blossom and Murray Pine...

What a wonderful way to wind up a week!

hugs

Wow, I need a tidy fairy like that to put some order into my cave. It's no wonder you enjoy yourself - good food, good friends, good fun.

Fantastic work room. Mine is not like that but I wish one day when I don't have a single bed in the middle of the room for my little Grandson to sleep in. Would not take it away while he is happy to come and stay with us. Life is too short with these treasures, because all of a sudden they are all grown up. xxx

Wow wow wow, now that's a stash and a great craft room, so organised like your spaces Jenny, I dream of getting to that place one day, doubt I could ever justify a stash anywhere near equal, but does one need to justify, mmmmm, single bed in my room but wouldn't change that, agree wholeheartedly with Lynette, have to soak up these young years, they fly by too fast, special, but thank you so much for sharing your lovely craft friends gettogether, yummy food and beautiful handiwork, you are all so talented, lovely to see, glad you had a great day Jenny, thank you for sharing, I will check out your friends blogs now. Have a wonderful rest of weekend Jenny, Judithann :-)
