Gift number 4 and my UFO finish this week...

Hmmm...should I show you the gift first, or my finished UFO????
Ha ha! I'm sure you want the present, so here is my fourth Christmas gift to you this week...

The Shabby Roses Christmas Tree was the third design I had published in an Australian craft magazine, not long after I began my designing journey. It was 2009 and I was just starting to create lots of lovely 'shabby roses' stitcheries...

The fabrics I used were Lila Tueller's "Woodland Bloom" which are still one of my all time favourites.
I even covered the buttons with it...

I made two versions of this design, the other was in green and rusty orange...

The border was slightly different, I stitched the year across the top and omitted the presents from the base of the tree...

I wonder how you will stitch the Shabby Roses Christmas Tree?

You can download this free gift pattern HERE from my shop until December 10th.

Now on to my UFO Finish this week!

Back in 2011, my sweet friend Synnoeve from Norway sent me a beautiful Tilda pattern to stitch.
I used the Tilda threads she had gifted me for the embroidery, but then I put the completed design away because I wasn't sure how I wanted to display it.

The other day I was sorting through some old Tilda fabric and this beautiful Christmas print reminded me of the Tilda stitchery!

It was perfect to border the pretty angel...

What do you think?

She will finally be a part of Christmas this year.
I might even keep her watching over us all year through.

Wow, Jenny, I LOVE that tree! There's an ad here in the US (or used to be) that says something about the gift that keeps on giving. YOU are the gift who keeps on giving! Thank you so much for all these gifts you are showering us with this season. I'm going to take a week between Christmas and New Year's and just stitch! Love the Tilda - it was just waiting until you found that PERFECT fabric for it!
