Block 8 of My Vintage Kitchen BOM...

This month I'm celebrating the homeliness we create in the kitchen by filling an old or new vase with fresh cut blooms.....

Flowers are my weekly luxury. I budget $10 each grocery shop for a bunch of roses from the local supermarket. Our rental home is bare of flowers for cutting, though I'm working on some pots of seasonal blooms at the moment, so my weekly indulgence brings our home a wonderfully inviting scene when you first come inside.

Enjoy stitching this little vase of tulips and daisies!
The free pattern can be downloaded HERE in my shop right now.

hugs

Thank you for these gorgeous designs Jenny... I have been telling myself I have too many things to stitch without thinking about more, but today I have caved in and downloaded this series/BOM ...just in case :-) I was pleasantly surprised to see them all still listed as free so thank you for that as well.

Thank you! I used to do the flowers, but I changed shops, and they aren't as inexpensive now, so I rarely do it. How lovely those are. Enjoy your days off.

Oh, what a gorgeous block this one is. I love them all but this one is rather sweet. I have enjoyed stitching the blocks and am up to date so I am itching to do this one now. Thanks so much for the BOM it is lovely. Alas, my geranium and Rosemary have been invaded by aphids so I can't even plant my usual pots on the back verandah until I deal with the problem. I had no idea aphids would be a problem in winter here, but I shall spray with garlic and detergent. I usually pick my geraniums to put in the guest bathroom and on our dining table

Thank you Jenny - a very pretty block. I love fresh flowers and try to use what we have in the garden even if they are weeds, sorry I mean wild flowers!! xx

I just love tulips and daisies. I have always loved the way tulips keep growing after you bring them home and put them in water. You always have to plan on that when choosing the vase. My favorite combination is red and yellow ones. Can it get anymore cheerful than that? Love the new block. Thank you so much Jenny!
