A birthday...

Today is Mr E's birthday...

It began a few weeks ago when he received his first gift, Merri...

...and over the weekend he got to play with another gift, a new polaroid lens for his camera.

Little Merri loves traveling in the Jeep with us early Sunday mornings. We grab coffees from the Zarraffas drive-through and head off to parts unknown for some camera time...

She's settled in very well to our family routines and captured our hearts as much as we've captured hers.
I love this pic of Merri and Mr E out on the deck the other night...
The back deck is her favourite place to be, up high where she can see everything below.
Her and I sit there together by candlelight each morning before dawn, and only when the sun comes up do we head back inside to wake Mr E.

He can hear her coming down the hall because her scampering paws echo on the hardwood floors like a pony on the run.

Today we've already had breakfast coffee with our sweet Blossom before she went to work, and now we'll enjoy our other little girl, potter around home, and head off later for a meal somewhere special.
So glad Mr E has the day off work because it's made this a very relaxed birthday.

Have a lovely day too, okay!

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
