Merri at the Marina...

First walks are rather special so we took Merri to our favourite 'strolling' place, the Marina...

She loves sitting in the back of the Jeep on her special pillow as Mr E takes us for cool evening drives after dinner, but yesterday was her first time out and about with a lead. She wasn't quite sure about it at first and we had a few giggles at her stubborn insistence to sit and examine the strange pink leash that wanted to move her away from where she'd rather forage in the dry leaves, but about 10 minutes into our adventure something clicked and away she went trotting beside Mr E...

It was 30C on this fourth day of Spring so we had fresh water on hand to pour into her new collapsible traveling bowl, another first.

 It's such a pretty place...

Over the weekend we may travel a little further and pack a picnic lunch.
She's so very calm in the car and sticks to us like glue when she's at home - how blessed we are to have our little Merri!

hugs

Jenny, reading your post first thing in the morning is always delightful. But seeing the photos of Merri and your adventure was definitely a chuckling down memory lane while looking at all your photos. I did not realize that you lived close to the Ocean. Oh how spectacular for you! I had never seen the ocean until we moved to Oregon almost 30 years ago. We live a couple hours drive away, but every chance we have to go I get all giddy like a schoolgirl. It is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful creative day!

What a wonderful place for a stroll! 30? Whew, that's almost as warm as it is here! I hope it wasn't too humid, or you were out early enough to avoid it, or there were water breezes coming in. =) Have a wonderful weekend with your cute puppy! She seems like a perfect dog for you two.

Oh, what good company Miss Merri is going to be for you and Mr. E. Glad she likes to ride in the jeep and doesn't get doggy car sick. She looks very cute with her hot pink leash. Not complaining, but I missed your Sunday devotional this week. They always speak to something in my life. Love to you and Mr. E.
