First 'bump' photo and a peek...

Our precious Blossom is officially 14 weeks along in her first pregnancy and we wanted to show you her little bump...
I don't think I have ever seen her more beautiful, and when she walks in the room her radiant joy fills every space.
New life is such a miracle, isn't it?!

REMEMBER

The next free block in my 2016 BOM, "Gentle Domesticity" will be ready for you on Friday 5th, so if you haven't downloaded the first block please do so by the 4th while it is still a free pattern in my shop.
Just go HERE and save it to your computer and you'll have it ready to stitch any time in the future...

And just as a little tease, here's a peek at Block 2...

Over the weekend I finished the final patterns for February's issue of The Stitchery Club.
There's no theme this month as the six designs are ones that have been floating around my sketchpad for a while. It seemed only fair that they finally got their moment to shine - even if they had nothing in common to tie them together.
You can see all six designs for the new issue over HERE on the Club page.
Memberships for this month close on the 16th.

I'm a bit weary today as we've had extraordinary humidity here in the tropics which leaves me feeling lethargic and ready to pack a bag and head for Switzerland, so I'm going to spend a quiet afternoon browsing this month's 'old-but-new' copy of Notebook: magazine (read about it here) and see what interesting things I can share with you later this week.
Naturally a cool drink and something tasty will accompany the magazine, and there could be some soft background music to calm the soul...maybe Enya or Yanni...mmm.

Who do you listen to for background music during restful times?

Have a lovely day wherever you are!

Blossom is blossoming and she looks so serene. Loooove your new stitcheries. I haven't listened to Enya in years! Must get those CDs out again. Do you like Secret Garden.? I have a feeling you would like them. When I am doing a big house clean up I listen to my heavy metal music to energise me lol. I am rather eclectic when it comes to music. Basically I love all genre except pop music . Thanks for xharing a pic of your beautiful daughter. I just sigh, hoping for some grandies one day. Enjoy.

Have enjoyed your blog and provoking thoughts. Gentle domesticity - with an emphasis on the gentle - has become a mantra for me since I started reading your encouragements. When I'm feeling a little stressed and have a need for some down time, instrumental/piano hymns are what I like to hear. They not only relax/calm my thoughts and soul, but they bring my mind to Christ and I rest. When relaxed, I feel I can go on singing while I work. I also find that with this choice of music, I get more done when it is my background sound. Thank you for your writing and devotions. RSmith p.s. if you need some cooling, put a cold rice bag on your neck or chest for a bit - works wonders!

Beautiful photo of Blossom, can see the happiness she is glowing, happy times for you all. My family are celebrating our youngest grandchild turning 6 hard to believe 6 years have passed with memories of her arrival at home at 7am, she couldn't wait to get to hospital (fortunately a Doula on hand to assist) and also on the first day of her big brother's adventure into big school, a very eventful day and fortunate for us living close by to help, we feel blessed. Beautiful designs Jenny, hope you coping with the heat, Sydney weather has been lots of everything lately. Judithann :-) x

I agree with you Jenny, Blossom is radiating sheer beauty! Bless her cottons! What do I like to listen to? I find that Jack Johnson is always my go-to when I want some background music that isn't too distracting... Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Vikki xoxo
