Thank you...

I've been wanting to say that for a while now.
"thank you"

Thank you for the encouragement you offer when I share things from my life and heart on Sunday.
Thank you for being real in your comments and emails.
Thank you for being a family in Christ and praying for me and my loved ones.

In the world today there's increasingly more criticism, unkindness, jealousy and bullying - reactions we never saw in the life example of Jesus. He offered correction in kindness, and loved others with such so honesty and compassion that His own people jealously marked Him for assassination. He gave all He had, and He had it all.

Mostly I'm kind, but sometimes I'm not.
Mostly I'm an encourager, but to my shame I've also allowed jealousy to rear it's head a few times.
Mostly I'm honest, but am still learning to let my 'yes be yes' and my 'no be no' without extra embellishment. (Matthew 5:37)
Mostly I'm generous, but there are days when I have to rely heavily on correction from the Holy Spirit because I'm trying to keep what I have.
Mostly I walk with Jesus, but at times I stray and He must come gather me in His arms and carry me back where He needs me to be.

Knowing this about myself and having shared some of my weaknesses in a few Sunday messages, it means the world to me that you continue to visit and continue to encourage me.

I know none of us are perfect and we won't be this side of heaven, but let's make a decision to encourage one another every day, remembering we'll each have our good days and our bad, our Jesus moments and our earthen vessel moments.

The best remedy for criticism, unkindness, jealousy and bullying is encouragement, and that's what I appreciate about you.

"thank you" so very much

I always try to live by the 'do unto others' rule I learnt at Sunday School when I was very little. If every one treated everyone the way they would like to be treated how wonderful the world would be. Take care of yourself and your beautiful family and know you are often in my thoughts. Sending much love to a very special person...you.

Hi Jenny
An inspiring post that makes you think about ourselves and how we treat others and deal with day to day situations. Even for those that do not believe in God usually have a Higher Power that guides them through their dealings with life situations.

It's always good to have a reminder to be the best we can be and treat everyone with patience, tolerance and charity. I'm trying hard to think of a time I have been jealous, but I do have my flaws!!

Best to you and still praying for Blossom.
xx, Carol

This is why we have repentance, isn't it? And forgiveness as often as we keep struggling to change ourselves into eternal people. Your words of encouragement go out week after week. You're right none of us are perfect, but we keep on changing, a bit at a time, keeping the eternal perspective in mind. We are becoming people who can live with God, and I am grateful for your example. Enduring to the end of time, not giving up on ourselves or on who our Heavenly Father has designed us to be takes a lot of encouragement, and you are certainly providing that. Thanks for this good verse.

Thank you Jenny for your thoughtfulness, your HUGE inspiration and the love you put into your designs. When stitching your designs the love continues right to the end when I can stand back, look at the finished product and smile. Your honest words are an encouragement to me and I can 'spot' a Jenny design from a thousand paces. Hugs, with gratitude.

Thank you for the reminder! A minister I listen always says that we should ask " How can I be a blessing to someone today?" and yet somehow I always seem to forget that simple message.

That's a great way of putting it - mostly. I love that the Holy Spirit is gentle in correction and not condemning. Have a great week you awesome lady! Prayers and hugs to Blossom.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. I think about that verse - and while it's meant to us, that we're not condemned, how often to we condemn others in our daily struggle against our flesh? We'll not be perfected this side of heaven, but encouragement is a gift, and we should give it every chance we get. Thank you darling Jenny-girl, you are an encourager, you have a marvelous gift for it, and you use it. I'm so very thankful for you.

I love reading your blog dear Jenny, you always encourage and inspire me with your words and your creativity. You are quite right in saying not one of us is perfect and when we accept all our flaws and quirks then we can truly be ourselves. Not perfect but forgiven and loved by our dear Lord Jesus! I'm on holiday in the USA at the moment but I make sure I find time to read your blog every few days xx

You give so much through your designs and blog, it is a joy that you let us share in this. I just did a look at the designs in the June Stitchery Club, and they are so lovely. I'm looking forward to having the "Love the life you live" completed to put on my wall and see every day. It is the perfect reminder to appreciate each day and where we are right now. It is amazing how you keep coming up with all these ideas. You are a true artist! Diane from Minnesota, USA.

We're only human and we slide backwards and sideways.
It's how we clean up those slides that counts. Well at least I'd like to believe so.
Not very poetic but hopefully you understand what I mean.
