I had a little pk of 10inch fabrics which hopefully will provide all I need for the blocks. I can hardly say which block I like best, as I enjoy making so many different ones. Something with a star is always popular with me. Blessings to you and hubby and family. xx barcordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08638897356633828187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5738183327129723042.post-50605228643918150402019-07-23T00:45:18.598+10:002019-07-23T00:45:18.598+10:00I am so excited about this sweet little wall quilt...I am so excited about this sweet little wall quilt/hanging. I am putting together everything I need and will be carrying around the embroideries as we travel this summer. I have started on #1. I also cut out all the pieces for framing of the blocks. I may start sewing them altogether soon. Thank you so much for doing this.Beth in NEPAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12920859563407788557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5738183327129723042.post-70035478643807446382019-07-22T08:03:38.864+10:002019-07-22T08:03:38.864+10:00Absolutely precious, thank you dear Jenny! Your hand quilting is lovely. I don't think I have ever made a churn dash block. I love flying geese maybe because the design was used in quilts to point to the direction of the next safe house on the Underground Railroad but many blocks take my fancy. I guess I just love piecing things together like a puzzle.Ondreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15397162777493230125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5738183327129723042.post-59284950057004263272019-07-20T11:51:49.145+10:002019-07-20T11:51:49.145+10:00This is the sweetest little quilt. It was so wonderful to have your quilt in this weeks post :) It was a real treat for my blog and I loved hearing your story - every time I see a churn dash now I'll think of you :) Rose Johnstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04620700479783542350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5738183327129723042.post-19590520477491276222019-07-20T04:20:04.447+10:002019-07-20T04:20:04.447+10:00Oh, I like this one, too - thank you so much! I have not started yet, but I have the thread and fabric ready for everything except for the actual stitchery part. I'm not happy with anything I have here, so I have to go get some nice white muslin, I think. Maybe. I'm giving it a couple more days and then looking at my fabrics again to be sure. I've loved Rose's work for more than a decade, and collected a whole set of patterns from her sometime between 2005 and 2010, because I couldn't resist them. She's such a lovely person. It was the first block I made when learning to quilt. I love all the variations one can make with it, based on the colors used and their placement.
