What a blessing! I too, am going through a difficult time as my hubby is terminal with throat cancer. We are both Christians, so we know God is in charge of our future, but we're still human and I for one need some nerve soothing, too. Many thanks, Jenny.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5738183327129723042.post-34768482972314098582014-06-17T21:55:31.406+10:002014-06-17T21:55:31.406+10:00Mine will be from fabric I have had on my shelf - ...Mine will be from fabric I have had on my shelf - with co-ordinating threads. This is going to ...Sweet Jenny, Thank you so much ! This is going to be such a beautiful project. I have chosen Laundry Basket Quils new collection "Snowbird" as my fabric and two of my wonderful Cottage Garden Threads, "Blue Wren" for the stitching the Wording and "Forget Me Not" for the floral stitching. This will be the project I use to sooth my nerves as the stress of my Grandson's wedding next month, tries to knock me down. I did finally get the poem they request I read during the ceremony finish...a huge relief, because you know as a designer that just like poetry, anything we try to 'force' or take control of without our Lords inspiration and leading, never really work out. But after a month of trying to write their poem on my own and going through draft after disappointing draft, I was watering the garden early yesterday morning praying as I so often do in the quiet of the morning told Him I needed His and two lines washed over me...I turned off the garden water, came straight away to the computer and in 25 minutes, I was putting the finishing touches on the poem I had been searching for. What a blessing it is to know that God it always there, just waiting for us to reach out, and the very moment we do He takes our hand and leads us through even the smallest struggles. Stitching on "The Lord's Prayer" will be my constant reminder to always look to Him for His perfect guidance. Big Hugs and God Bless dear friend...
