In the mail today!

I recently participated in my very first craft swap, Maree's Redwork Cushion Swap - I'm part of a birthday fat 1/4 swap this year, but this was my first swap where you have to make something. It was a lot of fun! I hope my own cushion arrives safely to it's recipient soon.

But today MY partner was revealed - Janice from Jannimary, and looked at my parcel of gorgeous goodies! I was only expecting a cushion, but she blessed me with other beautiful gifts as well. What a sweetheart she is!!

She must know I *love* Maxwell & Williams items because she sent me beautiful M & W rose serviettes, as well as this totally cute M & W Elephant egg cup! I shall treasure it always, Janice. I am quite partial to soft boiled eggs with steamed asparagus soldiers or vegemite toast soldiers! I think I'll have that for brekkie tomorrow, and follow with those yummy Lindt chocolates you sent. Mmmmm.

And how beautiful is the cushion itself! Such beautiful stitches, Janice, and with a message I live by! :-)

There was also something very special added to my cushion - Janice collects vintage buttons and there are FOUR on the back of my cushion. I adore vintage things, so I was given an extra special blessing with these buttons.

I am always blown away by the generosity and kindness of fellow quilters and stitchers...such big hearts.
Thanks Janice. :-)

Hugs
Jenny

PS: Only 16 hours until I share Shabby Roses block 3!! Did I mention I'm in Australia so it will be an early gift for all those in other parts of the world.

  12. What a lovely gift you've received! Very nice... 8-)

Question, when a person sends a pillow in a swap, do they send an actual finished pillow, or just the finished cover? The question just hit me, so I thought to ask. 8-)

  15. Myra, as this was my first cushion swap I wondered the same thing, so to be safe I sent mine *with* the cushion insert safely buttoned inside the cover, however, I received my swap cushion without the insert. I think from now on I'd send just the cover...much easier to post. :-)

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
All comments are special to me, and I do not want to miss yours, so if you don't see it published immediately, know that as soon as I'm next at my computer I will approve it for you (must do this to avoid scammers unfortunately).
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments if it is needed. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
