Bits & pieces

Yesterday my sweet daughter Kezzie had her birthday.
She was 33, and thinks that is the coolest age to be! I think we all need to have her attitude. :-)
I wasn't able to travel down to visit on her big day, but we'll be together next week, and I can't wait to get there and hug her tight!
I'd love it if you pray a big birthday blessing on my girl!
Now, just because it's a mother's prerogative to embarrass her children on special occasions, I am going to share with you a photo of Kezzie and I when she was only four months old...
Gorgeous memory, sweetheart. Love you, Kezzie. xxx

Last month I won a quilt contest at The Quilting Gallery (thank you to everyone who voted!), and I won some Weeks Works threads. They were the reason I finally decided to enter. Having never used them, and being an avid thread-of-any-kind enthusiast, I was really keen to stitch with them.
They arrived from Canada the other day, along with needles and a thread cutter.
Thank you to Valerie, from Pastimes Online, who donated my prize!
Hopefully in the next month or so I'll have some free time to play with them.

Some lovely blog readers have emailed me photos of projects they have made using my designs, and I want to share this loveliness with you!
RAE ANN used my "Hugged by an Angel" stitchery to embellish a quilt block for her great niece...
Here is RAE ANN's beautiful completed quilt!

Do you remember this design of mine from last year's Christmas Issue of Elefantz HOME...
I made a lot of little yo-yo's and stitched them over the centre of an old tea dyed doily, adding beads as I went...
The effect was really lovely!
Well,  RAELENE took inspiration from that design, and covered a doily of her own in little yo-yo's for a welcome hanger. Isn't it pretty?!
Thank you for sending me your photos, girls!!

Tonight I am hand quilting one of the designs for Issue 14 of my magazine...
Not exactly sure how this will end up yet, but I have this large white frame that would look beautiful with this design inside. I'll decide once the quilting is done and show you tomorrow.
Have a lovely day!
Hugs
Jenny

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
