*Christmas Roses* ~ a free design for you!

Have you visited the lovely Kerryanne English's blog before?
Her simply shabby style just oozes calm to my soul, and that is no surprise as she is one of the kindest and loveliest of ladies you'll have the joy of meeting in life.

Every year she hosts "Simply Christmas" on her blog through November and December, sharing wonderful ideas from herself and other contributors for bringing the 'homemade' and 'home-baked' back into your Christmas planning and celebrations.

This year I am so blessed to be a part of *Simply Christmas*!

Today on her blog I have a step by step tutorial for making my very sweet
"Christmas Roses Penny Pocket"...

Go HERE to Kerryanne's Shabby Art Boutique webpage for the list of materials required, stitching instructions, and the step by step photo tutorial, and then HERE to download the stitchery design free from my shop...

This can be made up in day, and would be perfect for using orphan Christmas fabrics, or any lovely rose themed fabric. I can't wait to hang this in December!

PS: Don't forget...

My special 'Christmas Quad pattern offer' is only available for another five days.
Four Christmas patterns for $5 US as an instant pdf download HERE until November 18th only.

Tell me, what are your favourite Christmas decorations to make?

  4. Thank you for the new pattern - it's very pretty. I have never heard of the term penny pocket before. Where did it come from?

    1. Donna, I don't know the origin of the term, but they were made to hold small gifts like sweets. Probably named with that intent - fill with things the size of pennies??
Anyhow, mine is larger than most because I wanted to fill it with a bunch of flowers. (wrapped to prevent leakage of course).

  5. Love all these special things, but my favorit creation for Xmas is an Angel doll! I made at least 7, if I am not mistaken, it could even be more! It is a pattern of Tilda an Danish designer and I love her creations!

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
