I didn't want to get your hopes up before now but I've been working hard all week on getting the very first 2014 issue of Elefantz Magazine ready for publishing today, and it is!
It's no longer published as Elefantz Home Magazine, but quite simply, Elefantz Magazine.
Inside this 34 page issue you'll find I've taken a step back and brought a 'sweet and simple' atmosphere to the pages, reflecting the changes that I've brought about in my life over the last couple of months.
Look at the projects I have inside for you...
"Welcome" is a design I've wanted to create for a very long time, and when the idea finally flowed from my mind onto paper it gave me immense delight!
"Clouds" reflects my softer moments, but there was also a life lesson within it's creation and subsequent purpose (all explained in the magazine)...
"Roses Between Lace" and "Captured" were quick and fun to make, but they too had a purpose, which included some simple but effective frame makeovers one afternoon...
The magazine is an instant pdf download HERE in my shop.
It's just $5 for the remainder of February, but will increase to $6.50 on March 1st.
Each pattern included has full instructions, requirements list, and step by step photo tutorials.

ReplyDeleteI love your new hair - I love my short hair, the first time you washed it, did you use heaps of shampoo and realised you didn't need as much? LOL. 33 years ago today I married my gorgeous man and I remember it was terribly hot and humid and I'm down on the Mornington Peninsula - it's very humid here today - so, it must be bad where you are. My Mum also suffers migraines if she puts anything in her hair, so, yep, short hair for her, too. Now, as my 20yo nephew would sing as we sang Happy Birthday (at the top of his lungs) - BIRFDAY, BIRFDAY, BIRFDAY (he was only 4 at the time, LOL) - have a lovely day and I hope you get very spoilt. I have my hair at shoulder lemgth right now and it is driving me nuts. It's too short to put up coz i get bits coming down and looks messy and it's not quite lomg enough to make it look good. I am this close to getting it chopped off. The only thing is i have big ears and i am so self conscious about tbem!! They are not only big but they stick out a fair bit!!! ReplyDeleteI hope you will be treated like a queen for your birthday on the 21st - which Saints feast day do you associate with for your birthday? I found so many: St Peter Damian, St Avitus II of Clermont, St Valerius, St Verulus and Companions, St Severian, St Felix of Metz, St Gundebert, St Paterius, Bl. Pepin of Landen, & St Peter the Scribe.
So very generous of you to share your personal thoughts and experiences through your blog, and then to share your patterns as well, and now a beautiful honey bun - I can just imagine a beautiful lap rug or throw, or even a bed runner and matching pillow cases that could be made with it - feminine, but not so much so that a husband would feel uncomfortable in his own bed!

I love the short haircut....I always have mine very, very short in the summer. I'm old enough to have grown past the age of vanity, or at least I've reached that point, and now strive for comfort and peace. My short haircut is not nearly as flattering as yours, which I really love, but it suits my needs. May God bless your day with many moments of joy. blessings, marlene
