SWEET TWEET pattern is ready for you...

It's been four months since my "Sweet Tweet" quilt was featured in Australian Homespun magazine and now the pattern is ready and waiting in my shop for those who were unable to find the magazine but would love to stitch their own version of "Sweet Tweet"!

At 36 inches square the quilt is perfect for a baby or toddler, but is equally delightful hung on a wall or over your knees as a lap quilt...

It actually sews up rather fast as the blocks are mainly applique with a little backstitch, running stitch and a few cross-stitches...

...and the patchwork sections are only squares with a few straight borders! Not difficult at all. I like simple, don't you?
It's a very happy quilt and sure to put a smile on the face of whoever you make it for - or maybe it will be yours and your own heart will be overflowing with warm and fuzzies?

The fabrics I used were from various Lecien "Flower Sugar" prints and they definitely added to the sweetness, but mostly I think the birds are the star of this quilt, don't you?

You can get your pdf copy of the "Sweet Tweet" pattern HERE in my shop today!

happy stitching,

  9. Love this! I especially adore the quilting in the bird blocks. Was it done by hand or machine?

  11. Debbie, it was machine quilted by a local lady. She did exactly as I asked and even exceeded my expectations. :-)

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
