POSIES block 2...

I've been very ill the past two days with a nasty tummy bug so this will be a quick post (prayers appreciated).

The wrapped vase in Block 2 of Posies is probable one of my favourite displays for flowers. I often use handled jugs for floral bouquets at home and very often they sit on my desk.
And that was the inspiration for this sweet block.

I fussy cut a bee for the vase and then added a tonal blue wrap. See what you can find in your stash for your own fussy cut vase.

UPDATE...

POSIES was free until January 1st 2022.

The complete 2021 POSIES quilt is now available from my ETSY Shop.

Now I'm heading back to bed...

Bless you heaps,

  9. Thanks for the block. My prayers are with you for quickly feeling better and getting over the tummy bug. I remember my dad going out and cutting flowers and putting them in handled pitchers.

  19. Oh no. I hope you are feeling better. 🙏Stomach bugs are the pits.

Thank you for block 2. I love it. I finished it this morning before I even started block 1. 😊 I love the little pitcher. I have had so much fun going through my scrap bin of leftover scraps mostly from dresses I made for my girls years ago.

Thank you for blessing us with your talent. This is cheering up my winter. It has been very cold here and we just had a snowstorm that lasted 2 days and dumped 26 inches of snow on us!

  24. I was sorry to hear you weren't feeling well but hopefully by now you are back to your healthy self. When I made this block I was able to put a snail on it where you have the bee and love the way it turned out. I am part of a small five person group who signed up to work on this BOM together remotely. Two of us have finished the first two blocks and one member is working with crayons instead of embroidery as her fingers cramp up if stitching too long. I think the other two may have decided not to carry on. However, I am very pleased with my first two blocks. It's been interesting to do the stitching as I haven't done much embroidery for some time. Thanks so much for giving these patterns to all of us.

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
