The idea of the dog running around with the chicken in his mouth and Mr E tackling him was funny. I know it wasn't but you made a great visual for a story line. Jut like the chicken saying "the sky is falling, the sky is falling". A little excitement with everyone doing okay saves the day! Thanks for sharing. Has the neighbor ever come back over to see how your chooks and you were after the attack by his dog? Here his dog would have been quarantined if he could not prove it was up to date on necessary shots. I'm so glad Mr. E wasn't hurt worse and his actions saved the chooks. You are obviously a quick study on the calm under pressure! On your sourdough...do you have a recipe for the starter or do I have to purchase starter? I would love to bake bread for my dad and he eats it every meal. I have never heard of soaking the flour but I will definitely give this a try with my next baking. Those chickens! I could just envision that whole episode. Glad the girls are doing ok now. How traumatic for all.
Interesting about the flour soaking. Your muffins look wonderful. Really nice looking. Anything from scratch tastes so much better,I think. I would like to try that recipe. I always loved blueberry muffins, but all the processed stuff is just not good. So I stopped making a lot of things like that. But that recipe sounds interesting and looks really good.
Those carrots look really nice, too.
