~~ BOUQUET ~~ the unveiling...

Happy New Year!!
Have you rung it in with bells and whistles? Fireworks? Resolutions? However you celebrated I hope you were able to share the moment with those you love! We stood out the front of the house and watched the fireworks display from 'The World", the hill atop our little town. It was so pretty to see, and we were doubly blessed to watch the 8.30 display as well as the midnight repeat.
To celebrate 2010 and all things *new*, I have an offer for those who may be the impatient type...

My new BOM for 2010 is ~BOUQUET~ so firstly, let me share her with you....

I have used Robyn Pandolph's "Somerset Cottage" fabric range and ~Bouquet~ is so femininely delicious in the muted blues, pinks and peaches don't you think?! She also loves to wear silk ribbons, pretty rose and pearl glass beads, and antique lace!

~Bouquet~ is a 6 month BOM, beginning January 7th.
Each free block will be available for 1 month only. As a new block is released the previous month's pattern will only be available as a purchase through my Etsy Store.

I often find that when I begin another designer's mystery BOM that a few blocks in I decide I don't really like all the blocks, and wish I'd not started them, but that is the chance we take with a free BOM. With this is mind I wanted to show you ~Bouquet~ up front, so that you can decide now if you want to make the blocks or not. Also, you can choose the fabrics you'd like to use as you have seen the finished quilt.

Let me introduce you to the blocks.
There are 4 of these corner blocks...

...the centre block with a verse I wrote...

...the Bucket...

...the Chair...
...the Cracked Jug...

...and the Girl.

There are four applique blocks which sit around the centre poem block...

...and one of the borders is edged with vintage lace.

I love ~Bouquet~ and it looks gorgeous hanging in our home!

The final quilt assembly instructions will be given on June 7th.

I know you will love stitching this quilt!
Hugs
Jenny

  1. Wow Jenny what a beautiful way to start off 2010 with a free BOM to gather each month. It is absolutely gorgeous and the Rose saying is lovely too. It just looks scrummy in the pastel fabrics, I bet it was a real thrill to make. I am afraid I will have to get it on a monthly basis as work has not been forthcoming in 2009 for either DH or myself. I will have to be careful in what I purchase this year. I have already started selling some of my obsolete sewing machine embroidery cards on ebay. Luckily I have a stash of fabrics I couldn't jump over, and a stash of threads nearly as high, from years of collecting.

Thanks once again for your generosity to all your Blog readers and a Blessed and Happy New Year to you and your family.

  30. Hi Jenny,
Bouquet looks lovely. Its great that you are able to show us the final quilt as I much prefer seeing something near finished so I have a better idea where to go. That may not be very adventurous of me, but it does mean I'm more likely to be happy with what Ive done and choose my colours to fit in with the pattern.
    Thanks again,
    Hugs and Happy New Year,
    Sharon

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
