Welcome to the first Monday, and the first letter, in my
Monogram Mondays!
Every Monday for the next 26 weeks I will be sharing a letter from my newest Shabby Roses Alphabet.
Originally I had decided the share the letters I used in last year's Shabby Roses Alphabet Runner (featured in Issue 11 of Elefantz HOME e-zine), but you know me...I have to play around with things to improve them, so I spent most of last night, and a few hours this morning re-drawing a prettier version for you...
I also decided to present the monograms in a simple sampler for framing when it's finished, so your first week also has the full header in case you'd like to stitch the sampler with me.
Normally I stitch on white handkerchief linen, but I thought a spotty background would be nice for a change.
The main threads in my sampler are Cottage Garden 'Vintage Rose' and 'Oregano', with Anchor Grey 399 for the wording in the header and the outline of the letters.
So today, let us begin with...
You can download A, with the header, HERE.
Feel free to share the news about Monogram Mondays, just be sure to link back to Elefantz, ok? :-)
Will you use the monograms on anything special, or are you going to stitch the sampler?

Thanks Jenny for the first of the alphabet, I have even managed to download it to save for the future, not sure if I will do the whole sampler or just pop in to use the ones I want.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. Hugs,xx.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing again Jenny. It looks great.

Thanks for sharing this! So nice!
ReplyDeleteI think I want to do the sampler and love the dotted fabric...might do that too. I'll have to see what I have. The threads are going to be the challenge...because I have only dmc. Can you help with nos. so I can try & get close to the right colors?
xoxo susie
Thank you, it is so pretty!

Thank You Jenny! I think I'm going to love this. Definitely the sampler and will save the info for later use too. For those not using Anchor thread, there are conversion charts on line.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenny like Margaret will save and use the letters when I need them.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jenny. You are always so generous and giving. I'll be stitching the sampler along with you. I love the idea of sweet little spots on the background so I'm going to look out for something similar. Thank you so much for a delightful project.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the letters Jenny, I will be making pin cushions, and giving them away as gifts. I think I'll do the sampler as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny , I can see the design but no pattern
ReplyDeleteBless you , Love Kathleen
Thanks for this Jenny! I'm looking forward to stitching these! :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Not sure what I will use them for but sure I will find something! Maybe little tag/ornaments to put on birthday gifts this year!
ReplyDeleteCiao carissima Jenny, adoro gli alfabeti e certamente farò il tuo, è semplicemente stupendo!
ReplyDeleteComplimenti per la tua creatività, sei davvero bravissima.
Un abbraccio.
Marina
Thanks Jenny. I'm looking forward to stitching these. :)
ReplyDeleteIs there supposed to be a big empty space on the bottom? Or, is there supposed to be a pattern there? Is that space saved? I see the letter A in the upper right hand corner, but I feel like something is missing...am I wrong?
ReplyDeleteI'm unable to see anything on the PDF page. What happened? I see that others have downloaded. Help? I love how you've designed it!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful sampler. What size fabric should I use to complete it on one fabric?

For those that cannot download....you have to sign in with Google before the pdf will show up. It took me awhile to figure it out, but that's what I had to do.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there are several conversion charts online for using different brands of embroidery thread.
Thanks again Jenny....you're such a generous soul and we all appreciate you and your sharing of your talents.
thanks for sharing Jenny, I think I will just collect them for now. Not sure how I want to use them yet.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I am going to do wee lavender bags for family & friends as well as the sampler.
ReplyDeleteThank-you!
Marjorie, email me and I will send it to you as an attachment.
ReplyDeleteThe rectangle template in the PDF is the size of the sampler.
ReplyDeleteYour alphabet is so pretty Jenny. I hope to use the letters to write names on some of my future projects. Thank you Jenny. Take care now and God bless you for sharing your designs. Marion x

Thank you so very much .
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jenny! For now, I'm going to collect them, because my initials are all in the middle of the alphabet. I love the sampler, though, and I think I might stitch it once my current projects are finished. I love the letters! Either the old ones or the new ones.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias por compartir, Dios le bendice!.
