The night out, and gifts for me and you!

You girls are so lovely!
Thanks for the encouraging comments the other day about my outfit for the awards night.
Here is a photo that Blossom took on our way out...
Mr E is looking very serious, which isn't really him at all. He was intent on holding me steady while I balanced on those heels!
This is more like him, having fun with Blossom...
It was a great night. The food was awful, but the company was lovely! And when it all comes down to it, you want to enjoy spending time with the people at your table. I knew none of them when we arrived, but by the end of the evening I was smitten with a gorgeous young couple who were simply delightful - in fact Blossom and I are meeting the young lady of the couple for coffee later this week. She is not much older than Bloss, and new to town, so making friends is a great idea.
The postman has taken to leaving sweet gifties at my door when I'm not home. One traveled from Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory, and was filled with pretty pears from my buddy Vickie who knew she'd make me smile with this peary special duo!
...and another parcel arrived from Capi in the USA filled with delights made by her own hands using some of my stitcheries. Such a sweet and generous thing to do, Capi! {{thank you}}

Gifts are such a blessing for the receiver, but if you're like me you also feel wonderful when you are the giver! It doesn't have to be a big gift that you give, just heart-felt and genuine.
 With the joy from my own blessings of gifts still warm in my heart today I've decided to add my "Sweet Somethings" pillows as a freebie in my Craftsy Shop for you...

Each little pillow is just 5.5 inches square. They stitch up quickly and have a sweet lavender scent because a spoonful of dried lavender flowers have been scattered inside. Add a vintage style button and you have the cutest present to share with someone special.
Or perhaps you'll make them for yourself and keep them on display in a pretty bowl to remind you of what's important in your life?
The pattern is HERE to download free today.
Be blessed!

hugs
Jenny

  15. Wow! Look at you two....very nice...I love the dress, I like the sleeves especially as I like to cover my flabby upper arms...hard to find dresses such as this as most have tiny straps or sleeveless....And the shoes really show off your legs...

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
