Sophie in repose...

Princess Sophie takes possession of our bed during the day and does not like to be disturbed, especially by the whirr of my camera lens...
But she's so sweet when she sleeps that I couldn't resist invading her dreams...
I've never stitched a cat (that I can remember) so I went hunting across Pinterest for cat embroideries and I found quite a lot, but there was one in particular that caught my heart.
I sourced the original design back HERE to the French blog of Sylvie Blondeau.

The drawing Sylvie shared was small so I enlarged it as I intended to add just a touch of applique...
Couldn't resist a tiny bit of fussy cutting...
I've had a small cat quilt hanger for about four years with no idea how I'd ever use it...until yesterday.
The applique is done, and I'll stitch the rest tonight watching documentaries on FMTV.
If you'd like to see more beautiful embroidery ideas go HERE and scroll through my "Embroidery Love" Pinterest page. There are some incredibly talented designers out there who generously share their work....

hugs

  13. Beautiful. Wonderful inspiration "Princess Sophie" love the way you've stitched the hems on the dress - is it 2 stitches (blanket stitch and lazy daisy) or 1?

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
