The Sunday drive...

Last Sunday we were still pretty worn out by all the travel we'd done over three days earlier that week, so our Sunday drive was only 50 kilometres north of home, along the coast road around Rollingstone.
First stop was the river...

The river bed is quite dry at the moment as the wet season has not yet arrived...

...but there was still a little water to bring peace and beauty to weary souls.

Next stop, the beach at Mystic Sands...

...then a tranquil beach further south that we simply fell in love with.

The trees beside the beach covered the sky in a canopy of green and orange...

Though the sun was scorching, under the trees the shade cooled us and the gentle ocean breeze added to our comfort.
Mr E spent time photographing the waters beyond our oasis....

...whilst I gathered shells...

...and coral.

Back in the car we headed south for home, with just a short stop to take pictures of this lily pad strewn creek running under the driving track...

Relaxing on a Sunday...blessed.

  4. Beautiful photos Jenny. I love beach photographs. Must be because I grew up beside a beach. Not quite like that one in your photos but I do love the sea in all its moods.

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
