I showed you a sneak peek of this new Elefantz design a few months ago, but I've held off showing you the finished stitching until now because it's been penciled in my diary for the Stitchery Club - I just wasn't sure what month I'd be using it.
But now I know, so you can finally have a look at my Simple Alphabet Sampler!
This will be the main pattern for the March Stitchery Club....
I wanted to design a Sampler that wasn't filled with difficult or tricky stitches, so I focused on mainly backstitch...
....with a few lazy daisy petals, French knot centres, and the occasional dabble in satin stitch.
But the nice thing about this Sampler is that if you prefer to keep it simple and only do backstitch, you can.
In fact I'll show my Club members a different stitch option for parts of the design which is even simpler than backstitch and lazy daisy.
My sampler will have a pieced border made using these pretty "Pedal Pushers" fabrics by Lauren and Jessi Jung...
I know it's very early to be sharing what's coming in the March Stitchery Club, but I've been sitting on this design for months and simply couldn't keep it secret any longer. Forgive me?
Also included in the March pattern set will be some sweet little stitched borders that can be embroidered around individual alphabet letters - because they come in so handy for personalised gifts, don't they?!
Though it's strictly a stitchery club, in March I'll also share the pieced border pattern with my members in case they'd like to make their Simple Sampler into a wall quilt too.
But it would also be peachy perfect framed, you know...
The February patterns were emailed out to all subscribers on the 17th, so if you haven't received yours yet please email me and let me know. Sometimes cyberspace just doesn't want to deliver mail.
Some individual patterns from the February "hooped" set are HERE in my shop for non-members.
All inquiries about joining the Stitchery Club can be found HERE.
Tomorrow I'm sharing a free tutorial to make The Rosedaisy Birthday Stocking.
I hope you'll drop by!
...here's a sneak peek...
