It's the final day of the Tea for Two Blog Hop organised by Madame Samm, 'hosted' by Mary, and using a set of designs by the very sweet Cori Blunt of Chitter Chatter Designs!
It's also the day to reveal what I made from some of the stitchery pattens Cori designed!
I chose the smaller templates to play with, though I reduced them to 60% because I prefer stitching smaller designs.
Some Tilda fabric magic come into play as well...

My idea was to applique windows around the little stitcheries....
...before gathering vintage silk ribbon, vintage lace, and an old cream doily to create a sweet little thread cupboard for storing some of my Cottage Garden skeins!
This was such a lovely project to create, and it all began with Cori's lovely tea for two designs!
Here are the final day's list of Tea for Two bloggers you can visit. Grab a cuppa and go see what else has been made with Cori's stitchery designs...
STUNNING and picturesque as only you can do.

ReplyDeleteWow Jenny, that is stunningly beautiful. I think I might just have that very same Tilda fabric. I think if I had something as beautiful as this, I would just have it sitting out on my coffee table so that people could pick it up & admire it & I could say "oh yes thats just my Cottage Garden Thread holder" ... shallow person that I am !!!!! This is soooo gorgeous I am going to dream about this tonight :-)

ReplyDeleteYou definitely take hand stitching to an art form! How lovely. As a child I always loved to play with items that looked little and had Windows of sorts. This little cottage reminds me of a favorite Valentine that had little window sitters for me to open for a special message. I played with that card for hours. Your embroidery brings out the child imagination in me. The word that comes to mind is"endearing".
