When you can't stitch...

Mr E is gradually recovering from his flu, but unfortunately my beloved shared that flu with me.
More unfortunately I now have pneumonia.

Ugh. Do not feel good at all.
And I cannot stitch. I am so weary that concentrating on tiny embroidery stitches is beyond me for the time being, so I have chosen a few books from my 'homemaking' shelf and they sit by my side ready for browsing between naps. Nourishment for my mind and homemaker heart.

Being ill has also given me much time to ponder this life and the things I still need to change or remove or add when my energy returns. Some of them are so simple I wonder that I've not thought of them before. Maybe too much rush rush? Upside of pneumonia. No more rush rush.
Life decisions seem so much simpler to make when you stop all the doing.

Hope to be recovered in time to share the next block of A Year in the Garden on July 1st, but if I'm late I know you'll understand. xx

Praying for you...I have plenty of time for that too.

hugs

  4. Oh that’s terrible. I do hope you feel better soon. I had it 8 mths pregnant with my third child and hubby stuck overseas when the Icelandic volcano shut down all flights in Europe. He was unable to get home.
You need to watch it so you’re not hospitalised - take care. Hipe you feel better soon.

  5. So sorry to hear that you are ill, dear Jenny! I do hope you are feeling better and back to normal very, very soon ♥ Do enjoy your book reading and get lots of rest, though!

((Perhaps maybe in the future, you could share a post with your favorite books on the home, etc. I'd love to get some new titles to add to my personal collection. Just a thought!))

Wishing you a restful end of the week...and sending many "get well" wishes!

    Grace and peace to you!

  15. I've had pneumonia several times, so I know how you are feeling. It is most important that you rest, and be patient; it takes some time before you will feel completely well again. I will keep you in my prayers.

  16. Oh, Jenny! I am so sorry to hear you have pneumonia. Please, please, take care of yourself. Take your medicine as prescribed and take all of them even if you think you are over this. Pneumonia is not something to take lightly. I know you feel horrible. I've had pneumonia 3 times. Twice as a child and once as an adult. I almost died from pneumonia at age 11. I will be praying for you. I'm glad to hear your husband is on the mend. Bless you, Jenny.

  22. Hello Dear Jenny; I am sorry to hear ill you are. Rest is part of the healing process and I agree how amazing it is the way realizations come to us during times like this. I will continue to pray for you and Mr. E. Do not worry about our Block A Month, I am sure that every one understands. Plus, it gives me that extra time to enjoy my stitching time on the block I am on. Take care Jenny.

  27. Praying for you, too, Miss Jenny. I'm glad your DH is on the upside again. You have to be careful with pneumonia, so I'm glad you are napping a lot and keeping things slow and thoughtful when you are awake. I look forward to hearing more about your decisions. If the pattern is late, it isn't the end of the world. =)

  29. So sorry to hear you are so sick, Jenny. Pneumonia is not fun to have to deal with! Please take as much time as you need to recuperate --- lots of rest for sure.
Whenever I am dealing with anything respiratory i.e. colds etc., I immediately quit eating all dairy products. It helps a lot in the recuperation process.
Feel better soon --- we will all be waiting when you feel up to coming back to the blog. Take care.

  34. I had pneumonia last year, and I understand the way you feel...I was at bed for 15 days, and when I felt a litle bit better, I used the time to finish some UFOs.
Be patient, rest and imagine new and wonderfull projects.
    Best regards from Spain.

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
