UFO Finish Tuesday - well almost...

Remember HERE, back in June when I spent a few days sewing the first six blocks from the Fat Quarter Shop's free 'Wishes" quilt?
My plan from then on was to sew each month's block as it was released and I'd have a pretty sampler quilt by Christmas. The best laid plans, right?

Well, it's six months later and with Mr E away for a few days I decided it was time to roll up my sleeves, change the blade on my rotary cutter, and get to work!

Friday night I made block 7...

'Court House Lawn'

...and on Saturday the final five blocks were finished.

'Mrs Taft's Choice'

'Dove In The Window'

'Idaho Beauty'

'Stair Step'

'Grape Basket'

To finish this quilt I've added a white border...

...and today I'll decide on the final border.
Hopefully I can show you a true UFO 'Finish' next Tuesday.

The full pattern is still available as a free gift HERE on the FQS blog.
The pattern was shared to raise funds for the Make A Wish foundation by individual donations, so consider doing that if you choose to download the patterns.

God bless you all,

  11. That sounds like some truly restful quality quilty time. The thing I love the most is you are going to have at least one block with a US state name in it. ;) I've saved the patterns, so far, but I haven't made any yet. I like watching her videos, though. Your version of this quilt is bright and cheerful and will bring you a lot of spring in the winter!

  12. I've saved all the Wishes blocks this year. Looking for just the right inspiration from fabric or a child before I start. You have a beautiful, bright, cheery top. Anyone would be happy to make their wishes under it. Are you planning on adding the pieced back?

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
