Christmas stitchery for you...

You watched me make the stitchery in this Christmas design back here but at the time I was still unsure of how I would border it as a mini quilt.

Once that blog post was published and I returned to my sewing room the answer was clear...a simple floral border was all it needed, and a coordinating fabric from the same range as one of the gold tonal prints proved perfect.

I was also able to mix pink buttons with the red I'd originally chosen to use between the leaves of the wreath...

Want to make your own "Glory to God" mini quilt?

Download the free pattern here in my shop until December 31st.

  1. Thank you Jenny, that is a gorgeous finish, you are a wonderful inspiration in putting fabrics together too, I am learning so much and love the pink with the red buttons, beautiful finish. Can I ask what the fabric range is please. I am still on a roll making baby projects, bibs burp/dribble cloths, pram/stroller liners, play mat, nappy change clutch and change mat, tote bag, need to move onto 70 birthday gifts though, you've given me great gift ideas.
    Best wishes, Judithann :-)

  6. Every bit as adorable as I thought it would be. Thank you so much for sharing this year's Christmas pattern with us. I have 2014 finished, 2015 ready to applique on the background, and now this looks like I might actually finish it in a timely manner! Love the words the best, but the leaves and the buttons are just terrific!

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
