My splendid GIVEAWAY...

GIVEAWAY CLOSED
The winner was drawn on February 21st.
Thank you to everyone who entered!

It was all the way back here in May 2016 that I shared with you the "Blossoming" stitchery block I designed for the amazing Splendid Sampler project which has been running since early last year and only just came to a close with the 100th free block shared this week.

Over 80 designers from across the world collaborated together (secretly for many months before any of this project was public knowledge) guided by our co-pilots Jane Davidson and Pat Sloan who flew their brainchild and us through a wonderful adventure!

Now that the Splendid Sampler project has drawn to a close we're celebrating with giveaways!!

Some of the designers involved will be hosting their own giveaway via their blogs or social media and you'll find all that listed on the Splendid Sampler webpage on February 14th (USA time).

I'm joining in with that fun, but because I'm in Australia and it's already February 14th you can enter my giveaway a little earlier!

First of all, let me remind you that you can still download my free "Blossoming" stitchery block pattern HERE (and any of the other 99 Splendid blocks) until February 19th. They will be taken down after that date so don't miss out.
(information about a book available in April with all the blocks is on that site link)

Secondly, I shared a tutorial to make a needle-book a few months after my block was released and you can find it HERE. The tutorial will stay permanently on my blog and if you need it in the future a link can be found on my "Tutorials" page.

Now on to my giveaway!!

I wanted to make this giveaway relevant to the "Blossoming" block and as there was such a positive response to the little
needle-book finish of my design I thought a complete kit to make this needle-book might be a fun prize...

Here's my original "Blossoming" needle-book...

...and here is what the winner of my "Splendid" giveaway will receive in their "Blossoming"
Needle-book kit (everything, absolutely everything to make their own!).

I'll post worldwide so you can enter from anywhere.

RULES:

ONE entry only per person.

Leave a comment on this blog post (that is your entry).

Leave your email address in the comment if you are a 'no reply blogger' otherwise I cannot contact you and your entry will become invalid.

I will delete any duplicate entries, even the entries that say 'oops I forgot to leave my email address on the first entry'. If you forget to leave your email address on your comment, delete that comment yourself and then leave a new comment.

Please do not email me privately to enter this giveaway.
Comments left on social media are not entries.

The winner will be drawn randomly on my birthday, February 21st, and I'll announce the winner here on my blog.

Are you excited??!!

If you'd like to answer a question in your comment, just for fun, tell me what's your favourite dessert.
I need ideas, you see.

I'll leave you with a pic of the blocks I've made from those shared in the Splendid Sampler. Only 5% of the 100 blocks, I know...but stitchery design really is a very time consuming life for me.
However, I have a plan for those other four blocks in the photo and it's a good one. Maybe I'll have it ready to show you when I announce the giveaway winner?

big hugs,

Happy Valentine's Day. Also, pre-happy birthday. Mine was yesterday. I am not a real big dessert person. I prefer fruit for dessert. My favorite is fresh or frozen raspberries. I occasionally like a taste of cheesecake with raspberries or strawberries. My hubby has the sweet-tooth. His favorites are frosted sugar cookies and pecan pie. Thanks for the chance to win your fabulous giveaway. God bless you.

What a lovely giveaway and SS block design as well! I have good intentions of making the kit as a gift for my sister's April birthday. Winning the gift in such soft colors is just her style and would make it easier for me to complete. Thanks Jennifer for being part of this Splendid Sampler. judieharron@yahoo.com

Keep up the beautiful designing and the lovely sharing of the word and your struggle. I often pass along your witnessing to others - it's less lonely time when you realize there are others out there going through same, worse or whatever. Keep the faith. Vevia

Thank you for the Giveaway! My favorite dessert is pie. My favorite recipe is an apple pie with a cheddar cheese crust. It's amazing. My second favorite is sweet potato praline. And my third favorite is Kentucky Derby (chocolate chip pecan with a dash of whiskey). I actually started making the sweet potato praline because my brother is a recovering alcoholic (almost TEN YEARS sober!) so he needed to have his own pie on holidays. Turns out it's a really yummy pie and not as sweet as pumpkin. If you want any of these recipes let me know.

Thank you for this opportunity to make the Splendid Sampler needlecase with your beautiful kit. The fabrics and threads are very pretty. I have recently discovered a dessert in a small book that I purchased a few years ago whilst overseas in Wales. Hi Jenny, thanks for offering such a lovely giveaway. I have just made a comeback to hand sewing after many years of 'life' getting in the way and have certainly been enjoying reading your blogs and even attempting some of your lovely designs. With practice my stitching is improving even now with the arthritis(and I think it helps with the flexibility). I do tend to have a fettish for needle books, pincushions and all things pretty, with the addition of some pastel stitchery. Everything is crossed, hoping I am the lucky winner. Have a lovely birthday next week, enjoy! Fay.

Dear Jenny, What could possibly make us happier than seeing the big smile on Cully Mae's face? Each new picture of her brings joy. What a precious child. You are blessed. As for dessert, I like almost all of them but I'm particularly partial to chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Served cold is best. Happy birthday Jenny!!

I just love to look at your work. I wish I could stitch just half as beautiful as you do. Thank you for all the free patterns, love to stitch. I suppose my favorite dessert is pecan pie, the second would be sweet potato cobbler like my Mom made. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. God Bless, Pam

Love your give away. I lost a pin cushion with all my favorite needles. I should never take things I love to travel.

I normally only do fresh fruit with whipped cream.

Dear Jenny,

thank you for the lovely giveaway. I have completed only 1 official block in the Splendid Sampler, but I have completed 2 of my own design and I have 2 official blocks that need finishing. One of those blocks might be redone as I used the wrong product for the appliqué, and it was so hard, it was like sewing through ice cream punnet plastic :/ ouch!!

My favourite dessert is Strawberries and cream, well any fresh or tinned fruit with cream. I just cut up the Strawberries, sprinkle with a little castor sugar and leave to 'juice' then pour over some cream. Sadly, no strawberries in the supermarkets this week.

Regards,

Marian (NZ) (sherwood_forest_maiden@yahoo.com)

I loved your little block Jenny and that little needlebook is just too sweet..... As for a dessert - I think I love a home made fresh fruit salad best of all (maybe with some icecream?)

This is such a lovely thoughtful prize - thank you!
Well thinking about dessert recipes and after how hot it has been here in Sydney I really have to recommend one of my favourites. Google "Strawberry and Watermelon Cake 9 kitchen" and you should be able to find the cake recipe by Christopher The Black Star Pastry. Which I have to admit I have made and it does take time but it is time well spent ! It is a lovely light refreshing cake for a hot Australian Summer ! Enjoy ! Fiona Woolmer leopardgirl@bigpond.com

Dear Jenny,
I'm from France and I always like to receive in my Professional inbox (yes, I know...) your emails and they make me always so happy. I would be proud to show my stitching colleagues that nice box with all the stitchery items in it (in fact I will share your email, it's not the first time, but this time I share it also).
You always make my day and I don't know which words I can use to fully explain it.
Have my best wishes from a sunny (still cold) Strasbourg.
