Links for birds, and finally a label for ~Bouquet~!

It was always my intention to make a label for my ~Bouquet~ quilt, but as months passed I simply never got around to it.
I finished the quilt last December, ready to begin sharing the blocks with you in January, then life got in the way and the label idea was pushed aside. Until today. I drew it up and stitched it this afternoon...
Tonight I'll add some binding before sewing it to the back of ~Bouquet~. Can you hear my great sigh of relief? It's a nice long, satisfied, sigh. :-)

~BOUQUET~ Block 4

7th April!
It's that special day of the month when you get to play with the next block in my ~Bouqet~ Quilt!

This month I am sharing Block 4, The Verse.

The poem is my own,  so please be sure to add my name as author if you quote any or all of it somewhere other than in this quilt.
Block 4 can be downloaded free until May 6th HERE.

From today Block 3 is available HERE for $4.25 through my Etsy Shop as a purchase only.

If you have missed the first 3 blocks in BOUQUET, they are also available to purchase as a set for $8.95 in my Etsy Shop HERE.

If you are anxious to make the complete BOUQUET quilt now, you can purchase the full pattern HERE.

Our Lily Rose is quite a handful, growing bigger overnight! Bob-the-Dog has been trying to assert himself as leader of the doggie-clan but as he is now officially smaller than Lily Rose he is having a hard time of things. From today Lily Rose will be an outdoor dog only, and Bob-the-Dog will be the sole indoor pet. With Lily Rose destined to grow to around 45kg (close to 100 lbs) this is the best way to do right by both dogs.
~~~~~
I am working on a new quilt!
The fabrics are Robyn Pandolph's 'Roses de Noel', so have you guessed that it is a Christmas themed quilt? :-)
I'd show you a sneak peek of the first finished block but my camera died. I'll borrow Blossom's later and see if I can photograph a tiny corner for you, just as a tease.
Happy stitching!
Last night I finished the runner I made using Stina's Valentines blocks. It looks so pretty on the chest of drawers in our bedroom! Thank you for such pretty blocks, Stina!
Sweet and simple, fragranced by nature...just how I like life.
Enjoy your day!
Blossom and I will be busily stitching a secret project that you'll hear more about later in the year from the Gum Tree Designers. We have 4 episodes of Miss Marple to watch (and some nibblies) to entertain us, plus the air conditioner will keep our fingers cool to sew. What a fabulous invention the air conditioner was...
~~ BOUQUET ~~ the unveiling...
Happy New Year!!
Have you rung it in with bells and whistles? Fireworks? Resolutions? However you celebrated I hope you were able to share the moment with those you love! We stood out the front of the house and watched the fireworks display from 'The World", the hill atop our little town. It was so pretty to see, and we were doubly blessed to watch the 8.30 display as well as the midnight repeat.
To celebrate 2010 and all things *new*, I have an offer for those who may be the impatient type...
My new BOM for 2010 is ~BOUQUET~ so firstly, let me share her with you....
I have used Robyn Pandolph's "Somerset Cottage" fabric range and ~Bouquet~ is so femininely delicious in the muted blues, pinks and peaches don't you think?! She also loves to wear silk ribbons, pretty rose and pearl glass beads, and antique lace!
~Bouquet~ is a 6 month BOM, beginning January 7th.
Each free block will be available for 1 month only. As a new block is released the previous month's pattern will only be available as a purchase through my Etsy Store.
I often find that when I begin another designer's mystery BOM that a few blocks in I decide I don't really like all the blocks, and wish I'd not started them, but that is the chance we take with a free BOM. With this is mind I wanted to show you ~Bouquet~ up front, so that you can decide now if you want to make the blocks or not. Also, you can choose the fabrics you'd like to use as you have seen the finished quilt.
Let me introduce you to the blocks.
There are 4 of these corner blocks...
...the centre block with a verse I wrote...
...the Bucket...
...the Chair...
...the Cracked Jug...
...and the Girl.
There are four applique blocks which sit around the centre poem block...
...and one of the borders is edged with vintage lace.
I love ~Bouquet~ and it looks gorgeous hanging in our home!
The final quilt assembly instructions will be given on June 7th.
 I know you will love stitching this quilt!
