Designing and sewing for The Stitchery Club each month is such a blessing because I get to put all the pattern ideas that swim through my mind at 3am onto paper, then fabric, and finally bring them alive with thread.
Here's three of the six new designs for November's Club members...
I'd really love to know which is your personal favourite, and most importantly, why?
Would you do that for me, please? Just pop your answer in the comments.
Your feedback will give me food for thought when planning patterns for 2016.
{{thanks}}
All information about becoming a member of The Stitchery Club can be found HERE on the Club webpage.
Tomorrow I'm going to show you sneak peeks of TWO free Block of the Month projects that will be shared here on the blog in 2016!
And why am I sharing photos this early?
So you can begin your gathering.
Gathering fabric scraps, that is!
One of the BOMs is made entirely of fabric scraps so there will be no list of materials supplied apart from "a box of fabric scraps"...
And don't we all collect scraps?
Until tomorrow, have a blessed day.
hugs

Oh Jenny you amaze me! You never run our of great ideas! This is a hard question, but I have to say the fist picture of the birds is my favorite - but I love all 3!!!
ReplyDeleteMaria
My favorite is the Christmas boot because of the colors, but I LOVE the birds!
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely but think I like the quilt one the least, lol, and it's a tie for the other two!
ReplyDeleteThey are all adorable of course, but your little birds always touch my heart Jenny!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennie, I love the flag. It's interesting and different, also quite an intricate little design.
ReplyDeleteAnnie
I adore anything Christmas, but I like the quilt flag the best. I am a quilter and that pattern can be displayed any time of the year!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, Hard to choose really as they are all sooo beautiful. I really love the christmas boot because it looks cheery & joyfull but my fave would have to be the quilt flag as I love anything "home related". But thats not to say I don't love the birdies too ..... hope this makes sense :-)
ReplyDeleteI seem to gravitate to your birds. They are such cheerful little chirpers.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny i love the xmas stocking, its so cute xx
ReplyDeleteOkay Jenny Dear you have asked and I see lots of answers. However, the overall census is unanimous! ALL your designs are favorites. I like the quilt flag even though I don't quilt. I am very thankful to be the happy recipient of your monthly Stitching Club. It is the best gift I have given myself. Thank you sew very much dear...
ReplyDeleteI like the stacked birds the best because for some reason I love seeing things stacked up on top of each other. I have a pumpkin stacked softie, a snowman stacked softie, cows stacked on top of each other, and frogs stacked on top of each other. I have a container of cats stacked in a circle on top of each other. I have no idea what is going on with me. LOL My next favorite was the quilt nation flag.
ReplyDeleteI love birds as I've written you so that little design is sweet. But they all are, being Jenny Designs they would have to be. I'd love to see what you would do with more patchwork quilt designs, there are so many. I think what you could do with a Dresdan plate pattern, for example, would be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteA very difficult decision but think I would go with the gorgeous birds. They are so gentle and whimsicle, perhaps peaceful as well.Second would be the Xmas stocking, really delightful. I love your work Jenny.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the quilt one. Personally appealing ie. Quilting and embroidery.
ReplyDeleteThe Quilt one, definitely! I am a quilt(lov)er and embroidery, too. This is an embroidered beauty so, this is my favourite. What a wonderful design, Jenny.
Muchos besos. Que tengas un buen día.
ReplyDeleteLove em all!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, like all the other ladies I love all three, but if I had to pick it would be between "deck the tree" because I love how you draw your birds, they have such character and the "quilt nation" because I'm a quilter and its a perfect design for a small wall hanging in my dream craft room, which I hope to have one day before I die.
ReplyDeleteTake care.

Todos lindos como todos os seus trabalhos, mas eu escolho os passaros, amo e os seus são maravilhosos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a tie between birds and boot! But I pretty much LOVE all your designs!
ReplyDeleteDear Jenny, I can't possibly pick a favourite, the birds are so sweet and the boot is adorable and the quilted flag speaks to my quilters heart
ReplyDeleteDear Jenny, I can't possibly pick a favourite, the birds are so sweet and the boot is adorable and the quilted flag speaks to my quilters heart
ReplyDeleteDear Jenny, The little stack of birds is so adorable! They make me happy just looking at them. I'm not much of a hand embroiderer anymore (old eyes and stiff fingers) but I like to play with free motion on my machine, and these birdies would be easy to adapt. Thanks for sharing all your lovey designs.
ReplyDeleteHi jenny, I think all your designs are beautiful. My favorite is hard to pick but I think it is the flag. I really like the variegated thread you used so that might be part of why I like it so much. I also like the sentiment. All are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe bird tree is my favourtie but I love them all. xx
ReplyDeleteDear Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI fall in love with so many of your designs. None of them for consistent reasons. From these, I prefer the quilter flag. My first thought when seeing it was what a great gift it would make while being a joy to stitch. Your ideas are always beautiful.
I like all three!
ReplyDeleteJenny, I like the Stocking the best. The reason, my family have always hung up stockings and my Mother still fills them up with goodies from Santa! I will be 50 in November, a tad bit old for a Santa gift...but each and every one of us gets excited like a 4 year old discovering all of the treats! Even my Father, going on 74 is one of the first ones to say, "Is it time to check out the stockings from Santa!" Each one of us then buy and fill Moms stocking with goodies also. I forgot to tell you that Mom also fills a stocking for each one of the fur babies. She is the best! So this one just really clicks with the Christmas holiday for me. I am looking forward to the sneak peak at the upcoming projects. Scrap projects are always my favorite! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful creative day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Jenny, the tree is my favourite, it is quirky and different and so clever the way the birds sit to create the tree. x
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, It is a toss between the birds and the boot. The birds always cause me to think of you and yet the boot can be put on anything Christmas. All are adorable, and really I can't make up my mind between the two., Birds and Boot. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. Look for it daily and love to hear what is going on in your day with the help of the LORD. Have a pleasant day. Judith from SoCal, USA
I'm a quilter so I love "Quilt Nation". I love the flying geese, the various 4 & 9 patches and the florals. Thank you for your daily emails. You inspire, make me smile and help me be a better person every day!! Love you!!
ReplyDeleteThe little birdies are always my favorites. Made into a tree is so cute, but i search for cute bluebird designs.
ReplyDeleteSheila
Wow, this post got a lot of reaction, didn't it? =) I love all three designs, but my personal favorite is the birds. 1) I love your birds, always. 2) I love visual things, like tessalations and things that look different depending on how you look at them. 3) I love that the birds make a tree I can use at Christmas time, in certain colors, and could be done in other colors for other seasons. And anyway, it's pretty! Yes, I have a box ... two boxes ... um, many boxes of scraps. I look forward to the sneak peeks and then the step by step unfolding of each project next year. Always nice to have something to look forward to, and know in advance so I don't get too over-booked with things! I do that so easily, because I love everything!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny! Thank you for showing us the things you have been working on. And of course I do love all of them. But especially the quilt one. It immediately reminded me of all the quilts I have collected and been given to me by my mother, my grandmother and my great grandmother. They are all very near & dear to my heart and they bring back wonderful memories from my loved ones, all who are no longer with us. I also have some that my mother made and I need to quilt and seeing this post inspires me to get going on one of them. I am in awe of all your projects and your talents.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is a very clever design but I like the Christmas stocking best. Stockings remind me of happy childhood Christmases.
ReplyDeleteIts a hard choice between the bird tree and quilt... but the bird tree is so different..love it
ReplyDeleteI think the quilts stitchery is my favorite, because of the combination of quilting & stitchery, the theme of home, and the use of text. Although all are lovely, as usual. xxx
ReplyDeleteI am hooked on all your hints of BOM's to come. The first quilt I ever did with applique & embroidery combined was one of your designs & it was such a peaceful experience doing it. I will look forward to what is coming.
ReplyDeleteOOO I absolutely LOOOOVE your birdies. They are all lovely but that one particularly stands out for me.
ReplyDeleteI really love the Quilt Nation design, I love all of your stitchy designs and have already done two versions of the Stitches in Time one and the sewing machine as gifts and plan to make them again for me for my craft room. I love making stitchy gifts for friends and family so small designs based on that theme are great on needlebooks and pincushions.
ReplyDeleteLove all of them but it would have to be the flag - Quilt Nation that is my favourite ( did you know we are looking at a new flag referendum in the next month or so ). But boy, those birdies run a very close second!! Chirp... chirp...
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but, I love the birds the most. The quilt is my second love. I have quilts from my great grandmother and love to piece but quilting just doesn't seem to happen. I now have a box of pieced pieces, with all types of styles. Would make a really WILD quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love them all ... I simply adore the stocking ... it will be the first one I sew.
ReplyDeletethe Birds are so sweet and the Flag is Really Cute... love All your creations so much ...
Hello Jenny!
ReplyDeleteThose Birds!!! You have created some adorable birds. I just love the design with them in a row like that. My yard is filled with the little darlings. Feeding from pretty flowers and seeds on the ground. And of course those fun feeders we all have. But aren't they just so much fun to watch. Bathing in the fountains, sitting on your rails, waiting under the arbor hiding from the rain drops. Just love to paint them, embroider them, stitch them. They all tell a story, don't they?
Enjoy your pages and so connect with you when you have some of your changing life moments.
Stay well and Carry On, Jenny!!!
I have to say the flag.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about a flag that strikes a chord with me.
Gorgeous as always my dear - love the bird tree the best, so unique!!
ReplyDeleteGentle Domesticity is exactly what I need in my hectic life filled with the needs of my mother, sons, and granddaughter. Talk about a generation caught between other generations! Really looking forward to joining you.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilty flag!
