Shabby Roses BOM - quilt layout plan

Many of you have asked me for yardage on the quilt, and as yet I haven't been able to work that out because I've been busy designing the 12 blocks.
Today I drew the last blocks, traced them, fused the applique on, and added the Whisperweft! Yay!! Great sighs of relief were heard through the house. ;-)

Over the next 7-10 days I'll stitch these blocks and THEN I'll piece the quilt top...and finally you'll have your yardage sizes.

In the meantime here is the layout plan of the finished quilt top.

The finished quilt will measure 50 in x 51 in
There are 12 blocks - six blocks of 6 in x 6 in, and six blocks of 9 in x 6 in

Each square on the above diagram represents 1 inch, so you may be able to work out your own yardage before I do. :-)
If you click on the photo you'll get a much larger view.

My husband will be away this weekend so I'm stocking up on popcorn and DVDs for a marathon stitching session! My hand is much better today, so as long as I don't go lifting heavy things (like saucepans and plates) I should be fine to sew.

Hugs
Jenny

PS: Thank you all for your inspiring and encouraging comments!! If I don't respond via email it's because I've run out of hours in my day, so I just wanted to let you all know, from the bottom of my heart - {{{thank you}}} for being so lovely. You bless me constantly.

Hi,

I am loving doing your blocks and am looking forward to completing the quilt. I was wondering if you could please tell me how you will use the whisperweft? I have never used this product before although I have heard about it. Thanks for making this available so that I can make this lovely quilt.

Regards, Viv

Viv, I trace the embroidery design on to the piece of fabric, then I fuse the Whisperweft to the wrong side of the fabric before stitching the embroidery.
Hope that helps!

Looks very enticing! Well done. Looking forward to seeing some more of Shabby Roses. The layout looks fantastic!
Loved the Wonky Houses in the previous post too.
Glad to hear your hand is ok at the moment, hope it holds out this weekend! My dh is at work both Sat and Sun but I won't be stitching - soccor one day and lucky me gets to sort the cattle on Sunday to send to market that night!
Enjoy your weekend of popcorn, dvds and stitching - it sounds so lovely I just might have to drive down to join you!

Just finished reading the posts I have missed. A lot going on. Love the wonky houses that others have done and the setting for the quilt is really nice.
Don't stitch too long and hurt your hand again. We can wait on blocks.
