My hand is in a wrist splint because my tendonitis decided to flare up once more...but worse than that, the other hand has decided to go out in sympathy. This means no hand stitching for a week or so. It also hurts to use the laptop keyboard and mouse (I simply cannot use the laptop without a mouse), so for today I'll just share with you more January Tea Towel Challenge items from clever bloggers.
Elyte made this gorgeous Tea Cosy with her tea towel...
...and Vickie has been covering all her kitchen appliances!
Only a few days left to enter the Challenge and go in the draw for the giveaway prize!
Make sure you email me with a photo (no bigger than 200k each please), or leave a comment here with a link to your blog - but be sure and have a photo of your Challenge item in your blog post. :-)
Tonight I'm watching more of the Australian Open tennis, and going through my recipe books to build a new menu planner.
What are you doing?
PS: Blossom has just started a Catholic Youth Message Board for ages 12-18...maybe you have a child who would like to join? It's a way for her to interact with fellow Catholic teens, plus chat about books, school, life, the Universe, and everything.
Oh wow Elyte has done an awesome job that is so pretty, oh dear what are we to do with you eh?-stitching madly away too much..cough cough says me..yes I loved my day of stitching but ouchy bahwah I am paying for it-so alas I will have a couple of days stitch free..I sure pray your hand/s recoup in fair time for you and you get that needles swinging again real soon,.cheers Vickie
I have problems with my hands too (I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome) and I know how it can be painful.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
A big hug :)
Poor Jenny. Paw Jenny. I hope your poor wrist fixes up soon. Those curtains did it, I'm sure! Don't they get extremely wet when taking a shower? I sliced the tip of my thumb the other day with a knife, it only gave a little papercut to the skin, but skliced a cm of my nail in half too. Now I'm having to be really careful that I don't rip it open. It's hard not to be working on something isn't it? I did however finish another project, which I'll e-mail to you in a moment.
lol I just read some of the comments from your last post and I don't think some of the people realize what an abundance of wildlife (especailly bluies) we have here in Aus and how they're not scary or strange at all! I loved the one Joy left though. Thnaks Joy, if you happen to read this.
I really like the tea pot cover!
What talented women there are out there. I am watching the tennis too. Hope you wrist soon settles down - yikes no stitching for a week.
Oh my goodness I'm loving the tea cozy. Clever and cute. Fantastic job on all of the tea towel projects I've seen so far.
Wow, the tea towel challenge entries are fantastic. I love the tea cosy.
I hope your wrists get better soon, good thing the Aus Open is on for you to watch. I have to admit I love to watch tennis!
I just popped in for a peek and had to stay awhile to snoop. The tea cozy is awesome and gives me an idea for using a gorgeous tea towel given to me that I really think is way too pretty to use for drying dishes. I love the slice of pie too makes me hungry for pie, hmmm. I think I'll be baking a pie today.
So sorry to read about your aches and pains~ take care and you'll be stitching in no time.
This post is very inspring. It is nice to see what everyone is making from tea towels.
Wishing and praying for a speedy recovery from your tendonitis! Best wishes to Blossom andher Youth Board. She is a wonderful example for other young folks!

Oh you poor dear - please take it easy and rest. Step away from the keyboard and needles! Lovely projects all.
OUCH---we are going to have to limit your stitching each day so this doesn;t happen again!!! Congrads to Bloosom--hope she gets a long list of kids in her new club--and I have enjoyed all the tea towel items--but that "tea cozy" is the very best so far!!!! Just love it--
Am thinking of you and hope you are better soon--Hugs, Di&co
I have seen Vickie's wonderful creations on her blog and commented.. I love the T Pot cosy too..well done Elyte.. it is lovely...
How frustrating for you Jenny,
I know when my wrist flares up it seems to affect everything. I guess your other wrist felt the other was letting down the side and leaving everything for her to do. Hopefully she will stop sulking soon :)
This has been a lot of fun! I decided at 10pm last night to take up this challenge - and made a simple Teatowel Casserole Carrybag.
I even felt inspired to attempt a tutorial on my blog!!
Thanks - this was fun - and I'll be making more teatowel carrybags for gifts during 2010
What's February's challenge???
I'm loving seeing all the tea towel projects. Such inspiration.
Hope your wrists get better soon. I've been having a similar issue (on a lesser scale) since August.
I'm just blown away with the clever ladies out there. What beautiful work.
Take care of your wrists. It must be so frustrating having this ongoing problem.
