Monday #5 a week of prayer...

Sharing my faith, devotion to Jesus, and love for God's Word over more than decade, has made me privy to many hundreds of prayer requests through comments and emails, and lately, since beginning these Monday devotions, there has been an increase in those requests.

The more I pray, the more I sense God calling believers who read this blog to spend a week holding each other in prayer. Not everyone has a godly family support network, or even a truly bible-based church network to go to for prayer, so over the next seven days I'd like to open the comments for those who have need of prayer - and I invite all believers to drop back each day and pray for them.

In some of the darkest seasons of my life, when I am down in the valley and barely managing to put one foot (or one word) in front of another, an email will arrive from one of God's praying women, whom I have never met, to say, "Jennifer, I just wanted you to know that God put you on my heart and I've been praying for you." Knowing the Father has called a small network of women from all over the world to pray for me or my family, women I do not know, women who have no idea of the circumstances we face...friends, that is a beautiful gift, a miracle, an act of obedience to God and an act of love towards a sister-in-Christ.

Just as the Holy Spirit has called me many, many times to pray for people, especially in the stillness of the night, rarely ever explaining why I need to pray, but just urging me to lift those precious souls before His throne (for God knows why), so we do not need to know all the details if one of you need prayer and do not want to say anything more than -
"Please pray for my family/child/husband/parent/health/provision/work/situation/marriage/addiction..."
- for the Father knows you, He knows your needs, and He will hear our prayers and petitions on your behalf.

I will pray for you, dear ones, and if you want to stay anonymous, that's fine...leave only the first initial of your name if you like. Many of my readers are also believers who will gladly pray for you, so if you're in need, let us hold you in prayer.

You may be feeling all alone right now, overwhelmed by life circumstances, too ill or weary to reach out, and perhaps unable to put into words the extent of your distress...that's okay. He really knows, and we don't need to. Just write, "I need prayer", and we'll be praying each day over the coming week. Even if you're not a Christian, don't think you cannot ask for prayer...our God loves you and wants us to pray for you. ((((hugs))))

I pray for God's hand to be shown clearly upon your life, for His will to be done, for His love to sustain you, and for supernatural HOPE to fill every empty space in your heart.

Let's be an army of prayer warriors this week, my dear sisters (and brothers) in Christ, praying for the needs of those we have never met this side of heaven.

In Christ alone our hope is found,

Last Thursday, I was prepared for hip replacement surgery, and just a few minutes before I was to go in, it was cancelled as my heart rate was exceedingly high and problematic. I was sent home to see my cardiologist. (I have A-Fib.) Please pray that this is quickly resolved and I get on the list again, for my hip surgery. God bless you!

My sister in law needs prayer. Cancerous spots have been detected in 3 different organs. Doctors say they caught it early and it is all operable, and she had a cancerous spot successfully removed a year ago, however this time it has taken its toll on her emotionally and mentally. She is convinced she is going to die soon and has been seriously clearing out her house getting rid of even necessary items. This is also greatly distressing her 21 year old daughter who has already lost her father and will be left with no family unit. Please pray for both of them and especially that they will turn their hearts and lives over to Jesus.

Please pray for my son Andrew and his wife Tiffany that God will work in their hearts to forgive, and that my son would seek counseling. My heart is broken over our relationship.

Pray for my sister's best friend who is in a coma and on a ventilator. Jessica is also paralyzed from the medications she has been given. My sister said this is her last friend. All her other friends have died. Also pray for Jessica's family as they decide, along with the doctor, the best way to treat or go from here concerning their mother.

I am always amazed at God’s timing and calling. Shortly before I opened up your email, He had impressed upon me that this week was to be a week of prayer, but had not guided me yet as to the details. Then your email came! Hugs to you all and my prayers will be lifting you up to our Lord God Almighty, who knows and see you intimately 💞

Jennifer, thank you for your kind words and prayers the other day (I wrote asking prayers for the constant, draining illnesses in our home). Just knowing someone was seriously praying for me brought tears to my eyes and renewed my courage (I love my extended family but they’re not pray-ers). Unfortunately, things got a bit worse-the stomach bug spread last night to my other three children and I all at the same time. Things were rough, but I clung to Jesus. I ask continued prayers for my family’s health, my peace and especially that my husband doesn’t catch it. I am happy to pray for all on here and am sending hugs.

Thank you Jennifer for the reminder of the gift of being able to pray for one another! ♥
Lord Jesus, thank you for these ladies who have written to ask for prayer! Thank you that you know exactly what each of us needs before we even ask, and yet you LOVE to hear us come to you & ask. Lord, please come alongside & bring your comfort to those who are hurting, have aging parents, worry, anxiety, stress, pain, are sick & need surgery, Please restore marriages, & help the couples to seek you. May they know of your great forgiveness to each of us, & be able to forgive others as you did. Lord, for those who have grandchildren, family & friends who have not yet come to know you, would you draw them to yourself, & allow them to accept you as their Lord & Savior? For friendships, & work relationships help us to love as you love, & be wise in the close friendships you give us. May we be a light to those who need you, & help us be brave in sharing you with others. Thank you for holding our broken hearts. Speak your truth into our hearts that remind us of your words. For myself I'd ask that you'd help me to be the woman you've created me to be in the new places you've put me in. Change is hard, Lord. Thank you for caring about every detail of our lives! This is a special group of ladies. May they all know how loved, especially by you, they are. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. ♥
Will keep praying for you all this week! Cyber Hugs around each of you!~from Modesto, California, USA

Please pray for my daughter, Deborah, who struggles with anxiety and depression. Also, that I would be able to help her more, since I have severe anxiety myself, and know how awful it is. It breaks my heart to see her so bravely trying to deal with it, but not seeing any resolution. Thank you. I pray for God's love and peace to be overwhelmingly evident in each of your lives.

Dearest Jennifer good day Love. What a wonderful thing you are doing here. So many of us need prayer and I do not mind lifting the ladies up at all. I myself could use some prayer with my stage 4 metastatic Breast cancer , that is in my bones, lupus, Sjogren's syndrome and Rheumatoid arthritis. My daughter Savannah is also in need of prayer for her health and switching job, quitting her teaching job and moving into a different line of work all together. It is a very scary time for her right now. undergoing verbal abuse by her superior and being physically attacked by a student. She wasn't raised in a hostile environment and her nerves are just shot. Please pray for her and I . And know that I will be praying for you ladies in need of prayer as well.

Lord Jesus, our needs are many, but we know that you know, you see, you love, and you care. In the Bible accounts, you were full of compassion, you healed all who came to you and you never ignored anyone who asked of you out of a pure heart. I pray that your heart of compassion will be moved toward each one of these requests and that your hands of mercy will be outstretched. We are so grateful that we do not serve a god who is uncaring, unfeeling, unhearing. We know that you understand our suffering because you too have suffered the ultimate pain and sorrow, and we know that you desire only the best for each of your children. Allow each of us to feel you close today and to know that you are working on our behalf. In your precious and holy name I pray, amen.

Jennifer, I am so happy to do this! I pray for everyone I can think of in harsh circumstances, and even started keeping a list so I won't forget anyone, because chemo brain makes it hard to focus and remember sometimes. Of course, I need health prayers, but more than remission, I'd like to see both my sons come fully to Christ. They are wonderful, charitable men, and I don't worry too much about them because of that, but I would love to see them living a fully joyful life in Christ.

I will be praying for everyone all week, and I often pray for people whose names and needs I don't know. I know God knows each of us, has a plan for each of us which is the best possible plan, even if we can't see it. We can be joyful in Christ in all circumstances, if we choose that. You know you and yours are always in my prayers. Thank you for posting to set aside the time for prayer for one another. You set a wonderful example for all of us.

Dear Jenny and ladies, I would love your prayers for comfort as my lovely husband died in late January of pancreatic cancer. He was so brave, but my daughter and I miss him so much. We know God has His arms wrapped around us and have good support from friends, family and church but we feel a little lost and lonely at times. Thank you

This truly is a lovely idea and I along with the other ladies here am so thankful that we can take all our needs to the Lord.

For myself; last week is had an accident on a slide with my youngest grandson. The slide gave way and dumped which resulted in breaking my back at the L1 vertebrae. A week in and I am healing but asking the LORD for complete healing and recovery.
For the world; I am asking for a fresh annointing of His spirit in all His children that we might proclaim Him more and more and see revival spread throughout the world.

Father, I pray for each request shared so far and I thank you for hearing these needs and for your personal touch and answer to each one. You know us so well and as women, wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters, etc. you created us to be caregivers and to feel deeply but we surrender our needs to you and ask you to be our strength, our source, our help, our healer our everything. Show us your hand at work and let us proclainm your great love to all.
We love you and praise you in all things. In Jesus' name, amen

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I have just found out at age 70 with my only Grandbaby soon to be born that I have heart failure. Hopefully, with medication and health modifications, I will still be able to have several good years. It is in the Lord’s hands and that is definitely ok but I would appreciate a prayer said too. Thanks.
