Faith in Hand Stitchery Club

Is your heart delighted when you stitch the Word of God?
Mine too.

Each month in my "Faith in Hand" stitchery club you will receive three new patterns, inspired by Scripture or beautiful old hymns, to embroider and display in your home or give as gifts of truth and encouragement to others.

Each issue of "Faith in Hand" will be emailed to club members on the last day of every month so you can begin fresh on the 1st day of the month with a new set of faith inspired designs to draw your heart and hands closer to Jesus, and some months I'll include a simple bonus project for displaying one of the completed stitcheries.

I find time spent stitching Scripture is nourishing to my spirit and soul, it brings beauty before my eyes, calm to my thoughts and living water to my day to day life.
And this is what I pray you will experience as well.

These are the patterns inside the August issue of Faith in Hand, which will be emailed to Club members on July 31st...

Here's a closer look at the three stitcheries inside this next issue...

I chose a theme for August - "The Word of God"

The Bible is our life blueprint, it's the voice of God speaking directly to us, our comfort in sorrow, our strength in weakness, our compass amidst confusion and a love story from the One who loved us to the Cross.

Proverbs 119:11

Reading the Bible and taking time to allow God's own words to settle in your heart and in your thoughts will reap a harvest of remembrance. When scripture is hidden in our heart we are able to draw on it when needed in our everyday life, and also when temptation comes reply as Jesus did, "It is written..."

Psalm 119:105

What do I do, Lord? Which way do I turn? What choice should I make?
These are questions we all ask at one time or another. Knowing God's Word intimately is like having a lamp to show us the way.
When we are at a cross roads or find the world is calling us in too many directions as once, our understanding of God's character and precepts, and our study of Christ's example when He walked the earth, will give us the discernment to make choices that shine the Light of Jesus and do not dim it.

Psalm 130:5

In an 'instant' society such as we now live, with drive through meals, text messages, social media, microwave dinners and the like, a natural propensity towards patience is sadly lacking.
God does not answer all our prayers as soon as we petition Him, in fact that would be rare if He did, but mostly we need to wait on Him and be patient and trusting as we do for knowing His character through our study of the Bible shows us that God is always working on our behalf to complete and fulfil that which best suits our situation. Even when that may not be the outcome we hoped for.
Hope in His Word and wait for Him to act in such a way that the 'best' answer is His answer to you.

It's always nice to receive feedback on a blog post, so *thank you* for taking time to comment!
I will try to reply via email unless you are a 'no reply blogger' which means you'll have to check for my reply in the comments. Of course, life is a rather hazardous activity, isn't it? So if I don't respond to your comment that's the reason why - life simply stepped in...
hugs
Jenny
