A virus has taken over our house...

My wonderful husband arrived home yesterday afternoon, and it was the highlight of my day/week!
I baked garlic crumbed chicken for dinner, then made stewed rhubarb & apple with cinnamon to have with custard later...

It seemed the night would be 'perfik' (as Pop from 'Darling Buds of May 'would say!).
But Mr E came home with some tummy troubles, and before dawn this morning a dreadful stomach flu took hold.
Our house is in quarantine from the rest of the family now, so tomorrow's 19th birthday lunch for Sam has been cancelled. My poor man is in a very bad way, and does not want to pass it along to our children or grandsons.
Please pray for him. He only has one more day at home before he has to leave again, and I am not sure he'll be recovered by then.
~~~~~
Before Mr E came home I had finished a gorgeous project for the next issue of Elefantz HOME.
I'll share the photos before I head back to my nurse's station.
"Bird on Flower" runner....
I've used blanket stitch, feather stitch, chain stitch, stem stitch, backstitch, running stitch and satin stitch in this design.  Keeps the stitcher in me happy!
Hugs,
Jenny
Poor Mr E. I hope he gets over this and regains his strenght quickly. It sounds like a wise move to keep the family at a little distance. Let's hope he doesn't share it with you. At least he was at home when it happened where you could look after him and didn't happen at work.
Hi Jenny, My gosh I haven't commented in such a long time but I have been lurking. The beauty of your blog, both literally and spiritually always soothes me. I'm so sorry Mr. E. is fighting a virus. I will be keeping both of you in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs and blessings...
***Just had to tell you I am really missing your magazine. Hopefully I will be able to subscribe again after the first of the year. Warm thoughts...
Hi Jenny,
Sending healing hugs to Mr E and hope he's well enough to leave on time without sharing those dreaded germs.
Oh, what yummy dinner! I love rhubarb, one of my favourite desserts.
Your latest stitchery is gorgeous and would brighten up any home.
Creative hugs,
Anna
