Preparing for 'Shabby Roses Home', my new free BOM...

Only 3 days until the first two blocks of  "Shabby Roses Home" will be shared!
As I wrote yesterday, I am making this quilt out of my favourite fabric scraps and orphan fat quarters.

The finished quilt consists of 19 blocks shared over 10 months, and measures 37" square before binding - the perfect size to hang on a feature wall in your home!

If you intend joining in why not share this grab button on your blog?
Just copy and paste it, and link back to me.
Or, if you use Blogger, use the code over there in the right sidebar underneath the Shabby Roses Home grab button, and insert it into a HTML gadget from your 'layout' page options.

From July 2013 to March 2014 I will share two blocks per month, and in April 2014 the final block and the quilt assembly instructions will be shared.

The blocks will only remain free during their allotted month.
The two blocks I share on Friday July 19th will be free to download until August 19th after which they are purchase only.
On August 19th the next two blocks will be free to download for one month, and thus the process continues.

So, are you going to stitch this BOM with me?
Come back this Friday to download your first two blocks!
You'll love them.

There is also a Shabby Roses Home page where the download links will appear each month. You can visit it by clicking on the button under my blog header or going HERE.

The only other thing I should tell you is that you'll need 1.5 yards of white background fabric for the feature blocks, and 1/2 yard of one fabric with a small print that can be used for some of the applique pieces. This print will bring some colour/fabric unity to the blocks.
I chose a small aqua/white pindot.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
hugs
Jenny

This looks like it's going to be gorgeous Jen!! With all the items I'm working on at the moment, I don't think I'll be starting with you all, but I can definitely see it as a project that I'd love to make!! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the blocks as they unfold!!! xx

I love the layout! I was just thinking that I'm going to change it up a little bit - hope you don't mind... but I'm planning to make the houses, and then the letter blocks to spell out our last name, plus the 5 first initials of our family. We're planning a move, and I think this could be the perfect thing for our household command center! I can't wait to get started :) Love your designs, and you are so generous in sharing them. Thank you thank you thank you!
