I went down a mountain path chasing butterflies.
They dart to and fro so swiftly, deaf to my barely audible pleading - "stop, stay awhile, let me paint your portrait with my camera...."
And then, suddenly, I find them...as fascinated with a piece of nature as I am fascinated by them...and I don't move...just keep steady and become one with the camera in my front row seat.
Then they disappear and I sigh a grateful sigh to God for this gift...but then I turn to walk back up the mountain track and...
A sense of awe at being the only spectator to this dance of the butterflies swells inside me once more as I study these photographs taken on a May afternoon near another waterfall we accidentally came across on a Sunday adventure.
Divine appointment indeed.
Hope you have enjoyed my butterfly photos today, and can capture a small piece of my wonder to cherish in your own heart at the start of a new week...

Jenny, your blog is beautiful. I was overwhelmed by so many wonderful works. Blessed hands! What about their rides, too bad live so far away. I would love to know your lovely and beautiful country landscapes. What a pleasure to have come here. A big hug.
Beautiful ... just ... beautiful!!! What stunning creation God has gifted us with - and how fabulous that he called you there for the very reason to show you His glory, to share with others :) You are extremely blessed my dear friend xxx
A beautiful post Jenny that made me feel good deep inside my heart. Thanks for sharing your amazing pics x0x0x
What beauty there is in nature :) We don't get to see many butterflies anymore in the city. Your pics took me back to my childhood when my brother and I along with our cousins used to chase butterflies in the park! What great fun we had :) Thanks for bringing the memory back!
The butterflies are so beautiful! What color - and what pictures!! Thank you for sharing.

Just beautiful Jenny, so special, a bonus for living in FNQ I feel. Butterflies are gorgeous and can't help but feel good just looking at them and for you to be able to observe and take those photos a blessing. Thank you for sharing a real treat, Judithann :-)
