Yesterday my Kettle block (from this pattern) went from a flimsy to this!
It's now the prettiest mini quilt...
...and I'm sure the sweet 'Pedal Pushers' fabrics by Lauren & Jessi Jung had a lot to do with that!
The small prints and the vibrant colours really stand out against the white homespun background...
The only print I had to search through my stash for was the grey/green tonal used as the steam coming from the boiling kettle...
Now all I need to make is a fabric form of sugar bowl and milk jug because then my tea week projects would be complete! But perhaps this project will cover the milk jug side of things...
Back in 2012 I shared a simple tutorial for a beaded milk jug cover if you have 15 minutes to spare?
It's really, really simple, and you'll find it HERE.
Last year I shared this free Easter project and it's back HERE in my shop for you again for 2015.
Be blessed and rejoice as you stitch it!
Enjoy your weekend,
hugs

Thank you Jenny. I have a little blue tea pot that has lost it's lid.... maybe it needs a little love. Blessings to you as you celebrate the risen Savior! Janita

Love your Kettle Mini...
love those doily jug covers, & so simple, will be on the look out now for crocheted doilies & beads to do just that! my sister uses these
your kettle mini quilt is adorable!
thanx for sharing
I love your pieced tea kettle. I am hoping to start that block soon, so many projects so little time. Thank you also for the cover idea and for the He is risen pattern.
Love your little Kettle Quilt! Thank you for the Easter projects.
I only recently discovered your blog so I'm glad you gave a link to your jug cover. I love crocheting doilies and this is a nice alternate use for them. My Mom discovered a small crochet piece my Grandmother made (she died before I knew her). She said it covered an old candy dish. I told my Mom I would love a tea cozy like it because I cannot find tea cozies made with crochet thread. She helped me decipher the pattern (my Grandmother couldn't go by patterns so she made them up) and now I have a lovely feminine cover. I'm making the Irish Crochet Roses to apply to it. Thank you for all your inspiration.
Love your kettle mini quilt - it looks super all finished.
LOVE the kettle - reminds me of my grandma - and the milk jug cover, but especially your free design!!! It's gorgeous, my sweet, and I can't wait to stitch it, thank you!!!
