Wondering what you'll find inside the April patterns for the Stitchery Club?
Here's a few sneak peeks to whet your crafty appetite!
This month we're beginning a double 6-month Block of the Month...
They are the same design but sewn in two sizes and using different techniques.
The larger block has splashes of pretty blanket stitch applique using 1930's repro fabrics for that lovely vintage look. These will be simply pieced into a plain quilt top with a variety of 2" squares for borders & filling, using more of the 1930's prints so that the blocks get to shine and a newbie quilter can achieve something lovely without any stress. And isn't that so important?!
I'll have a tutorial for piecing these into the quilt here on the blog, but they are also beautiful stand alone designs for use in other projects...
The smaller version is all stitchery, but with added touches of embellishment using running stitch and cross stitch and an extended message (for this block "always hope").
These little blocks can be used in any project you like, framed for giving, simply pieced as individual mini quilts, or as one special project with all six blocks together.
I'll share how I'm going to display this version on the blog in weeks to come...

As I've had a Tea Theme running on the blog the last few weeks my inspiration ran over into some Stitchery Club patterns too.
"Home Baked With Love" is perfect for framing and I've left the centre blank for you to add your own quote, applique shape, or favourite family recipe (stitched or pinned in place)....
You can also use any of the elements of this kitchen-y frame to stitch on smaller projects or as borders...
I will be sewing an elongated churn dash block around mine and adding my Nana's Rice Pudding recipe to the middle before framing (I'll share photos when it's completed)...
Three little tea inspired mini stitcheries complete April's patterns.
They are delighted to find themselves being displayed inside some of my vintage doilies or recycled linen. Two are finished and the other one is being stitched at the moment...
All the information is HERE.
Today is the third day of Madame Samm's Tea For Two blog hop!
Brew a cuppa and take some time to visit these lovely bloggers who've all made a project inspired by Cori's stitchery design...
Tomorrow it's my turn to show you what I've made for blog hop!
Here's a tiny peek...
See you tomorrow with the big reveal!
hugs

April Stitcheries are very sweet. I am so glad I am part of your exclusive Gentle Domesticity Stitchery Club. I am in awe of your perfect stitches. Creative Bliss Dear...
Sweet stitcheries with multi purposes are always very useful. Love the little tea shelf . I was looking at some afternoon tea cloths that my mum had on the table yesterday. They were lovingly stitched by my grandmother and it made afternoon tea that more special. Thanks for sharing these lovely stitcheries.

I actually wasn't wondering ... because I already knew it would be something fabulous! These are so cute and that baking one goes perfectly in with the kitchen ones, don't you think? And the tea ones could, too. I look forward to your reveal tomorrow!
What a busy little bee you are. Look at all of those lovely stitching designs. I love your home baked, wouldn't that be lovely for a recipe book cover? I may have to make one, it is so pretty. Your lovely tea stitcheries, on towels, just as pretty as it can be. Can't wait for your big reveal.....oh it is so gorgeous!
