With all that's been going on these past weeks I'm sure you'll forgive me for not having this month's giveaway post published on time.
In case you missed the news earlier in the year I am having a giveaway on the first Monday of each month through 2019. February was delayed a week and half by the monsoon and subsequent clean up, but you know what they say, "It's better late than never!" and I do think this little bundle of February goodies are worth the wait...
In keeping with my homemaker heart and this year's Gentle Domesticity book study and theme, I have for the winner this month -
* a gorgeous 50's style Simplicity tea towel
* the prettiest 1930's style Simplicity tape measure
* a carded length of vintage cream cotton lace
* one pair of vintage style embroidery scissors
* one vintage style floral fat quarter
Would you like to win this bundle of vintage inspired loveliness?
It's easy to enter the giveaway.
Just leave a comment below and make sure I have a way to contact you because if your name is drawn on February 21st (my birthday!!) and I can't get in touch with you then another winner will be drawn.
Good luck everyone!
I should also remind you to download the free February project pattern. The freebies this year will be offered in the first Gentle Domesticity book study post each month.
Are you enjoying the study?
Honestly, I am learning a lot through the comments shared and the blog link ups each week so I encourage you to scroll back through the blog (or check the popular posts in the sidebar) and have a read if you've missed any.
This month's free project is Small Things, Great Love which includes the pattern to finish the stitchery as a cute sack pillow.
You'll find the download in THIS blog post.
We're slowly getting things back to normal here. Mr E has been shoveling a lot of sand and dirt to fill in all of the ditches and extra pump basins he had dug during the monsoon to divert water away from the house, and we've been scrubbing mould with every ounce of leftover energy.
Still waiting for an electrician and a builder (we need the electrician first) but my beloved has a tarp over the hole in the ceiling for now and we've bought rugs to cover parts of the bare concrete floors in the bedroom and his study.
The air conditioners are loaded with mould so we're incredibly blessed to have found someone who can come on Friday to clean them all - and believe me, in this extreme heat wave having cool air again will be a gift indeed.
The supermarkets have fresh food on the shelves again so I'm making healthy meals with plenty of vegetables and herbs to build up our immune systems.
Unfortunately I have developed an allergy to mould so my eyes are red and painful, nose is running and my throat is dry and sore. Our doctor has given me drops and spray, and has also supported us using natural treatments as well. In his words - "do everything you can and expect this to take a while to settle down"
How did you go with the Alphabet Pincushions Stitch-a-long?
Did you stitch them all?
I was asked by a few people to share a photo of all my pincushions together so yesterday I took one...
...though there are a few missing as they'd already been gifted. In fact even little Cully May has one! I'd made two versions of the C pinnie and she wanted the biggest one. Can't wait till she can sew with Blossom and I.
Over the rest of this year I plan on gifting many more of the pincushions, though I shall be keeping "Sew" and "Quilt" for myself.
All the alphabet pattern sets (which include the pincushion diagrams) are here in my shop.
There's not been much sewing happening here lately, naturally, but I was able to finish another block in my upcoming BOM, "Phyllis May's Kitchen".
Here's a wee peek...
I thank the Lord that life is quickly returning to normal at home.
Mr E and I will be heading off to the nursery for a few new plants on the weekend; Blossom is providing a Tiramisu for my birthday next week and bringing Cully May and Rafaella over to play; and I shall finally get to catch up with the girls at sewing group again on Tuesday.
Life is a gift, never take that for granted. Enjoy each moment, love your family, help others when you can, and be humble enough to accept help when you need it.
Thanks for hanging in with me during this stressful time but sorry for so many flood posts; thank you for all those heartfelt prayers; and thank you also to a dear friend overseas (C - you know who you are) who sent us a most appreciated love-gift.
hugs

I am happy that the storms are over. I am sorry for all that you have endured. In the center of it all you have been an inspiration as always... Thank you.
It has certainly been a trying time here in Townsville but it is good that things are starting to settle down. I love the vintage tea towel.
Glad things are slowly getting back to normal, your positive attitude to life and all it has thrown at you lately. To organise a giveaway is amazing.
I was so worried for you. Hopefully a once in a lifetime experience not to be repeated. Good luck with all the repairs too and I hope that once the house is dried out and mould free you will recover.
Tea cups! One of my favourite things. What fun to share this birthday month with you! My birthday was last weekend! Hang in there! "I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the the robe of righteousness" Isaiah 61:10
I am so pleased that you are slowly returning to some normalcy. On the news tonight we heard how difficult it is becoming to find rental accommodation for those who have lost their homes. I am so sorry you are suffering from mould allergies. God bless. BTW I love the pack you have put together.
Has to be wonderful to return to normalcy again, or at least some what normal. Life always gives us surprises both good and bad. But our stitchery and creativity is what keeps us going through the good and the bad. With the help of God and friends and family we eventually regain our life and enjoy it even more. Our little pin cushions we give to people bring a smile to a person that some days really need a lift. So glad your life is coming back and you can begin to start anew.
You have been such an inspiration to us as you have walked through all this. I'm not sure if you ship to the U.S, but if you do please enter me. Wendy C

I am so happy for you that things are returning to normal. I always lean towards Proverbs 3.5-6. He has truly carried you through this. Love and hugs from South Africa.
I'm so glad you've survived the rain and floods! I'd love to be placed in the draw to win the goodies. Hope life settles down for you soon.
You at so generous. Thanks Jenny!
So glad you are safe. Thank you for this give away even in such a stressful time for you all
My heart overflows with thankfulness that you are all safe - answered prayers! Thank you for all the lovely patterns you so generously share. Love each one. Thinking of you as you clean up after all this rain and devastation. Hope your eyes get better quickly, Jenny!
It great to hear all is starting to return to normal for you Jenny. I hope your allergies clear up soon. Thank you for the opportunity to receive such lovely items ♥️
I am so thankful to hear that you fared as well as possible during this time of hardship. You truly are blessed
What a sweet, generous person you are, to be still thinking of gifting to others when you have so recently gone through the teammate that you have! Thank you for being a true example of loving homemaking to me!
And just in case I win, my email is smenzmer(at)gmail.com
Oh gosh - moldy air conditioners - that's horrible!!!! Sweetie I am praying so hard for your health. Your sneak peek of Phyllis May looks SO darling!! And your bundle of pinnies is so sweet! Please dear heart take care of your health....love you!
Trauma, not teammate! Gotta love autocorrect!
What a lovely giveaway, you are very generous. Hope your health improves soon :). Happy stitching x
Jenny, thanks for the giveaway. Australia is a land of such major weather contrasts, especially recently. I pray for settling circumstances for you and your family at this particular time. I saw on a weather report that there was snow falling in Tassie at the moment and Bad bush fires there in Tassie whilst Townsville was flooding.
Love tea! your little stitchery is perfect. Glad things are returning to normal for you.
I'm so glad to hear that the worst is over. I also have a mold allergy that gives me all kinds of asthma problems. Happy Birthday next week! Grandma Rita ritanicholsec@yahoo.com
"Normal" may take a bit of time, this was such a stressful event. I am so glad for your witness of faith and your creativity.
I must tell you I laughed out loud when your link post came up on IG. That is exactly how I feel about a new apron! But cook I must, so it hangs for a while...

So wonderful that all the rain has moved away and that you are able to look forward again. Love this giveaway and all your patterns.
I'm glad to hear things are looking better. I know it can be very stressful.
Happy Birthday a little early.

Jenny, you have been in my thoughts and prayers a lot over these past several weeks. Thank you for your beautiful posts - they are visually, spiritually, creatively inspiring!
Thanks for the cute giveaways.
Continuing to pray for you and your Country. Just wanted to wish you an early Happy Birthday, we celebrate my dad's 95th this weekend. I plan on starting on the pincushions this year and give some for gifts, and I found I missed C somehow so will need to get it. Just remember not to overdo and rest when you need to. As my dad would say it does not need to be done all in one day. I am enjoying the book study this year, making me thing outside my box.
Wow I can't imagine so much rain. I'm glad to hear you survived and are starting to get things cleaned up. It is good to hear of the our reaching of ones helping each other. I am enjoying the book and your comments. Thank you for everything. rita_l_39212@yahoo.com
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity - and enoy your blog posts!!!
Thank you for the updates - I know you are feeling overwhelmed with the damage, mold, and just the mess in general. Take a bit of time for yourself each day to just breathe, relax, and pray. That got us through too.
Thank you for the offering of the giveaway - that tea towel is not only a keeper but too cute to use!
Glad that everything is beginning to recover so quickly. We've heard quite a bit here in the States about the flood, the damage, the mold, etc. There was a story on the weather channel site, just yesterday, about efforts to get truckloads of vinegar to your area for clean up. What a wonderful give-away!
I hope the mold issues can get resolved quickly!!
Jenny, I love vintage fabrics. I have several feed sacks and other vintage fabrics. The items in this giveaway are beautiful! Thank you for the opportunity to win.
I'm sorry to hear you are having an allergic reactions to the mold. I can relate. I'm also allergic to mold. I have an asthma attack if I get around it and it makes me feel terrible.
I hope you can get everything back in order and working before your birthday. Happy early birthday to you!
So glad that you are getting back to normal. Enjoy your sewing and gardening. What a lovely giveaway, you are so kind
I love the giveaway! Prayers to you and your family. Lindarandolph@hotmail.com
Am relieved to read that life is getting back to normal...really makes you appreciate when things just go along as per normal. Hoping you can reclaim more of your your sewing time in the days to come...such therapy for weary hearts! LOVE reading your posts!
Glad ur life is getting better. Can't imagine all that rain. I live in the US and MN. We had extremely cold weather one morning it was -40 then there was wind. Your stitching is AMAZING!! Thank you for sharing your posts. Wish you Well Karin E.
Such a generous giveaway! Hope you feel better soon and so glad all has calmed with the torrential rains. And that dear sweet Blossom...Tiramisu is my favorite dessert, yum! Darlene W. (deanie dot dreams at gmail dot com)
Blessed are the days that follow the storm for they are a renewal of faith, love and hope
After all you have endured and you are still hosting a giveaway? Count me in please :D Hopefully your home will receive the repairs it needs soon! Please be careful of the mold, it can have longer lasting affects than mere allergies. I'm so glad to know that you and your family are safe after the storm <3

So glad the rains are over. Sorry you had to go thru all of that. Glad to have you back!
Jenny Dear may you Celebrate and enJOY your birthday even more this year after what you and Mr. E have endured from the 500 year Monsoon floods. You are so loving and giving to offer such generous gifts to us. Blessings Sweet Jenny.
Jenny, it’s so good to know that you are well after what must have been scary! I just wanted to let you know that I am grateful for all that I have learned from you, your blog, and your patterns! Thank you!
My husband also has a February birthday, his was yesterday. Happy Birthday to you, beautiful lady!
tammyking43@gmail.com
Oh,Jenny, your give-away sounds incredibly beautiful and generous. Thank you SO much. I am thankful that you, Mr. E and your wonderful new home survived the monsoon.
You have such a generous heart, Jenny. I hope the mould settles down quickly so that you feel much better. I love the apron quote - it's true! Have a wonderful day.
Jenny,
So happy you came through the monsoon well.
I became excited when I went to a thrift store yesterday and came out with little bags full of embroidery floss. My first thought was I have the supplies now to do your beautiful designs. Thank you for your never ending work. Love your designs.
Rosanne Franchini
This is so cute! I love February too since it's my birthday month too! Happy early hatch day!
Jenny, I am glad the storm is over and you are working on recovery. Hope it goes quickly and smoothly. Happy early birthday and continued good health. If I win your give away, contact me at marlanedows@gmail.com
I am surprised you have time to think about a give away at all this month. What a sweet set of things...I would love to win!
I don't even own a pair of embroidery scissors so I'd really love those.
I am glad things are getting back to normal. I hope th emold goes awy soon & your health continues to improve.
What a lovely giveaway! While you were having heavy rains, we were having snow, ice, and below freezing temps. This year has been full of weather "surprises". Not much fun though! I am so glad that you and your family have made it through the monsoon and are now able to get things back to "normal". May God keep you in good health and within his loving arms! sewgood414athotmaildotcom
I hope you and your home are back to normal soon!
Sorry to hear of all the problems you are having with all the rain. But God will bring us through! Thanks for your blog, I enjoy reading all about your joys and trials.
What a wonderful giveaway! I am so glad things are better at your home. I look forward to your posts as they are so inspiring. Happy Birthday! Hope it is a nice one.
What an amazing woman you are dear Jenny! I don't know how you are able to find strength for the blog and give always with all you have been through, continue to deal with and now health issues on top! Actually, I know your strength is from the Lord and it is truly amazing and such a testament to His wonderful grace and mercy! You and hubby remain in my thoughts and prayers. xx
What a beautiful set of gifts in your giveaway! I laughed and laughed when I read the tea towel...I can identify with it, for sure! Such a pretty apron, I’d definitely put off wearing it to cook until something accidentally got spilled on it when I wasn’t actually cooking...
I still have to say, I love all your fabric choices. Your take on Gentle Domesticity is definitely a value added in my opinion. With the color palette in the book, I might not have given it a second glance, if it weren’t for soaking up all your patterns and fabric choices. I love yours so much! Kaffe Fassett is pretty, and bright, but there’s only about 5% of his fabrics I find desirable enough to actually own. Your fabric choices, however, are way, way up there in desirability; if I didn’t have a goodly cache of my own lovely fabrics, I’d be inclined to be jealous! Moda 3 Sisters Seaside Rose is a particular love of mine. Some day when I’m not so busy with quilt guild responsibilities, and actually get around to doing some embroidery, I’ll be sure to share some photos that showcase my love of sweeet rose fabrics. I look forward to it! I can be reached at ingredients.woman@aol.com and I also laughed, jumped up like a scalded cat to go look at my plum tomatoes when I saw the photo of the ones you’re cooking with this week...to find I’d forgotten them and that they had languished until they’d gotten wrinkled. No mold, so I’m guessing they’re good, and I will try to cook them up, today. =^_^= Impromptu, unplanned tomatoe drying going on in my kitchen, and I hadn’t even realized it! I’ve been so busy working on a sweet little teatime placemat...flowers, a little girl wearing a strawberry-looking hat and holding an iris...I think you’d like it. =^_^=
God is good, all the time! Praying for Him to give you strength!! stout.jeanne@gmail.com
Your newsletter is the "Highlight" of my day and God has a way that it's just what I needed that day. I'm so happy the storms are behind you and the damage wasn't worse. Have a blessed day. 🙏🏻
You have assembled such a lovely giveaway. Glad to hear you and your husband are safe and on the road to repair. Love your blog, thank you for sharing from your heart.
I would love to be entered into your fantastic February give away, marlenejjones@gmail.com
I am glad that the weather seems to be getting better for you. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. You have blessed me in so many ways with your thought provoking posts.
Allergies are the worst to deal with! I swear that they can be as a virus. At least with a virus, it runs its course and then its over. Not so with allergies! My heart & thoughts go out to you and your community for a quick recovery. I cannot even the imagine the magnitude of the mold you all are dealing with. Nasty, nasty stuff. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Happy Birthday! Nutz4redworkatgmail.com
Thank you for all you do - the lovely stitchery, the recipes you share and for walking me through the Gentle Domesticity book. I am getting much more out of it than I did when I went through it alone! I have been praying for you and your little town during this horrible monsoon season. Take care of yourself and have a wonderfully Happy Birthday next week! Karin
I am so thankful that you did not lose your new home to the water and flooding--
and I am happy that you have a Mr E who was willing an able to do all the work that he did to keep those waters out of the house-
and thank you for keeping us updated on how you were doing so often--

Happy Valentines day--
and a Happy Birthday next week--
luv, di
What a start to your new year! Praying the rains are over for a long while so you can get everything back to normal or better! Everything you named sounds wonderful in the giveaway! Blessings . . .
Oh yes, Happy Birthday.
Trina
Happy Birthday to you! Thanks for sharing your lovely skills. It is always great fun to look at pretty things. Praying your life after the floods will get back to normal soon. Where I live we are having lots of ice and snow and wind...also rains to come soon as it warms up. BUT our God is faithful and will be with us in all things. His GRACE is sufficient for us and He promised to be with us, good times and sad. Bless you,
Pam
So glad that you & your family are safe. Don't ever feel the need to apologize for not blogging when life gets in the way! Thanks for sharing all you do! Best wishes from Canada! basaran.family (at) rogers (dot) com
Your mould allergy sounds horrid Jenny, hope it soon clears up. As a pollen allergy sufferer I know how you feel. Glad things are getting back to normal. xx
Pleased to hear that all is gradually getting back to normal. Here in the north of Spain we have a shortage of rain, hardly any rainy days all winter, just cold. Love to see all your alphabet pincushions all together, so pretty. Generous giveaway, crossing my fingers.
You add such sweet inspiration to our world ❤️
I so enjoy your blog!! I hope you have gotten over the worst of weather problems for your home.

I'm so pleased that you and hubby are coming out the other end of your flood/monsoon troubles. It is hard to believe that Townsville was flooded so badly, the stories on TV were hard to watch. As you say, still a lot of cleaning up for many homes and properties. And of top of all your problems, you are now sick with the effects of mould, my thoughts are with you. Wishing you a very happy birthday, enjoying your yummy tiramisu.
So glad to read that you seem to be getting ahead of all the flood damage. So sorry you have developed a mould allergy with everything else you are dealing with. I'm shocked that you have found the time to put together a wonderful and generous giveaway. I hope you are finding some time for rest and recuperation. If you don't find to post again before the 21st, Happy birthday and happy Valentines day tomorrow!
You are an inspiration! That you are able to do everything you do through this blog/email and manage with the flood damage and mould and allergy to the mold is amazing!! I know I would be overwhelmed. And on top of all of that, you have put together a very sweet giveaway that any of us would love to win. I hope your Valentines day tomorrow and your birthday are both blessed. I am one of your email recipients, so I think that means you have that address.
Happy Birthday! I look forward to reading your newsletters; it is wonderful to be able to connect with fellow Christians and crafters around the world. Thank you for your lovely designs, loving example, and encouraging words from the Word. Tammy Hopkins/Billhopkins@netzero.net
Hello Jenny, It is wonderful to know that your life is starting to return to normal. Mr. E is such a remarkable man, I am so glad that the Lord had the two of you connect and become the strength for one another. I am sorry to hear that you are having such terrible allergies, yet know that between your doctor and your knowledge, plus the Love of the Lord and continued prayers it will all be better soon, also. In case I forget later, Happy Birthday! I would like you to know, Jenny, that since finding your blog my love for hand embroidery has been strengthening each and every month. At this point, I can not wait for the evening time to sit and stitch for hours on a project. Thank you for all that you have shared with such an open heart! Have a magnificent day!
I am thanking God that you are slowly getting back to normal. I will keep praying for you and Mr. E. and for all the work that still needs to be done. I celebrate this birthday month with you. My birthday is today.
I am so blessed to have "found" you Jenny and it is such a pleasure to read all of your beautiful words. I am pleased that things are starting to settle for you and I know that you will enjoy your birthday with you beautiful visitors. My daughter also shares your birthday. Thank you for this opportunity to win this beautiful prize. I will continue to pray for you and your husband. There is still things for you both to do. Your whole community needs prayers.
I am so happy you have normalcy returning to you. And all the flood crazy can now be dealt with along and along to get repairs done. The giveaway for this month is gorgeous. I haven't been online as much as I am trying to rest my hand and wrist as much as I can and typing aggravates it . Still unable to stitch. But I will get back to soon I am sure. I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day. As we celebrate it on tomorrow. Hoping your mold allergy gets well super quick and that your Air conditioning will be fixed really soon as well. Hugs and prayers for you Sweet lady.
I have followed your latest journey(sometimes harrowing!) with great interest and concern. So happy to hear that you are coming to the happier side of that journey. Love your blog and patterns! Loughran2@fuse.net
Happy Birthday wishes a little bit early. So glad you're on the mend from those storms and your new home came through as well as it did. I'm sure you'll feel better when all the mold is gone and things are finally back to normal. Thank you for your flood postings so we knew how to pray for you and the others affected by this monsoon.
Thank you for inspiring us. I look forward to seeing what you are sharing with us every day. May God continue blessing you in all you do. Blessings,
glabraswell@gmail.com
Thanks for the chance to enter your very generous giveaway dear Jenny. So pleased to read things are returning to normal after all the trauma of the past few weeks for you. Jenny that photo of all your pincushions together - I think you should print that off & make into cards ... it is just the most gorgeous photo! I am so enjoying your Gentle Domesticity book studies .. have ordered myself the book but it seems to be sold out everywhere at present, maybe as a result of your book study? Take care Jenny, don't forget some r & r while you return to normal again Xxx
What a great bundle for someone to win. I'm so glad to hear that things are getting back to normal. I hope the mold doesn't bother you too much. Maybe diffusing Eucalyptus essential oil would help with you and eliminating the lingering mold in your house? I can't wait for Phyllis May's Kitchen bom.
Thank you very much for your generosity and the opportunity to participate in your lovely vintage theme giveaway! Yesterday was my birthday, so if I happen to win it will be my birthday present! Keeping you in our prayers.
I am glad the weather has settled there. In Canada near Toronto we just had a bad snow, sleet storm. Thank you for sharing all you go thru.
I was quite anxious about you and your family during the recent floods in Northern Queensland and am very glad that you all are ok and 'weathered' the flood. I love all of your designs and would really love to win your birthday giveaway. Jill @ unicorn95@tpg.com.au
Thank for the opportunity to participate, today in my birthday., so happily to win.
The tea towel is adorable! Wishing you many blessings! Anita from quiltlovefordomesticfelicity@gmail.com
I love you blog. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Wishing you an early Happy Birthday! It warms my heart to "hear" a happier Jenny in your post today. I can only imagine how difficult the last few weeks have been. We have a lot of snow but at least it doesn't creep into our home and ruin our belongings. Norm has shoveled and used the snowblower several times in the last two weeks and we are supposed to get even more snow yet this week. Sorry to hear about the mold affecting your health. I know it can be very serious. Hopefully things will clear up for you soon. I bet Bob the Dog is glad the water has receded! I hope he has had no ill effects from the mold. Once again, so glad you and Mr. E are on the mend. I will still ask The Goddesses to watch over you and your family!
I am so happy to hear that the rain is over for you and your house will soon be back to normal. Happy Birthday on the 21st! Very sweet giveaway, I love vintage.
Jenny, you just give, give, give! I am looking forward to the coming BOMs. Don't feel that you posted too many times about the flood. We were all waiting for the latest news and to hear that you were going to be spared the worst of it. You have been through so much. You are a strong woman with a strong faith. God bless and keep you.
I am so happy to hear that you are well on the road to normality again. That mould allergy does not sound good at all with your situation. I do hope you start to recover soon and are back in good health. What an amazing person you are - still thinking of others during this scary time. Happy Birthday dear and enjoy celebrating with the family!
Happiest of birthday's to you, Jenny!!! You truly are a Gift ♥
Thank you for allowing us to "see" a bit of your monsoon journey. Leaving in California, a bit of mold has caused me great anxiety, I think mostly by listening to all the horror reports, & different people. Now, since you shared all that you've had to go through, I am SOOOOO less anxious & treat the stuff, & get on with it. Thanks for being real. I need that in my life. Happy birthday next week!! ♫
Jenny you can use hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach same results with no smell which will help your allergies too! Feel better!
Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Birthday next week! Lovely giveaway..thanks for the chance to win!
In advance a very Happy Birthday to you Jenny. May our Lord bless you in the year ahead. Praying for healing for you. The give away looks amazing and I would love to be included. magda.kvn@gmail.com
Have a great birthday next week! Mould in your climate would grow and spread so much quicker than here so good job you have drops etc and natural therapies to help with those annoying symptoms. Hugs!
DearJenny thank you for taking the time these last few traumatic weeks to post on your blog whenever you were able. It is very much appreciated by all your blog followers. I am glad to hear that life is beginning to take on some normalcy now. You are a true blessing to us all and I am sure all my fellow followers of your blog will agree that you inspire us with your gentle words, your gorgeous designs and your faith. Thank you Jenny. Hope February continues to improve for you and your family. If I am luck enough to win the giveaway my email is yarragirl2@hotmail.com
Praising God that things are getting back to normal. New normal possibly since a lot has changed. Love your gift set, especialky that tea towel. And Phyllis May . . . Cant wait to start stitching. Praying for quick recovery from the allergies. Nice to have you back!!
Jenny don't put me in the giveaway as I don't sew much these days. We saw on the news about the meliodosis making people sick. That is so sad. I pray that the mould will be cleaned out soon. Of course your humidity up there doesn't help. We can give you some dry heat if you like :-) Your giveaway looks so sweet. Hope you feel much better soon. Did you know you can buy Fire Cider at Woolies now..Macro brand. That might help.
Still praying for your health, dear friend. I'm so glad you have been able to put needle and thread to fabric...that is a balm to your creative soul. Praying you will get the needed professionals you need to make your home whole again, but I am praising the Lord that your home is still there to repair!! I also pray you and Mr. E will be able to soon return to a life that is totally normal for you. I've missed seeing the pictures of the beautiful treats you make for him!!! Be blessed, Jenny.
That sure is a bundle of goodness Jenny. We hear bits on the NZ news about the results of the flooding. The farmers made me very sad with so many of their cattle drown, and so worried about their farms. So blessed you can have the air conditioners sorted out on Friday, no way you want them pumping more mold into the atmosphere. Plant shopping sounds such a lovely thing to do this weekend - relaxing. Will be praying for the mold allergy. Glad you have a good doctor. Arohanui
Very sweet! I discovered your patterns on Craftsy, and enjoy reading your posts. Happy early Birthday! <><
With all that has been going on with you and your family, I am awed that you are making plans for a giveaway in the midst of your problems. I join with us who are so thankful you are safe and can see a light at the end of the tunnel!! I am enjoying the stories of the rainy season. Here in California we need the water so desperately. Right now we are having a storm and the news people are making it seem so BIG and then I read your blog posts.... Looking forward to the Phyllis May's Kitchen project.--Julia from juliaquilts@surewest.net
I am so glad that things were not worse for you with the storms & that your house survived. Have you tried peroxide on the mould? The stuff from the drug store should help & it is not as smelly as some other products. As my parents survived a wildfire last year, I know how much work it takes to bounce back. I am wishing you the best. I really like your choices for the giveaway.
Jenny, I'm thankful normalcy is returning. Mold and mildew sensitivity & allergy are so terrible. Prayers for clearing your head, sinuses, throat, bronchial and lungs immediately occurs. Enjoy your birthday and family! Gloria Gleason
Oh dear Jenny, please do not apologize for your posts about the flood and your problems. It was a major upheaval in your life. Hoping you feel much better soon. Praying for you and Mr.E. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway. It is a lovely prize. Love to you and Mr. E. marna329ataoldotcom
With all you are going through it's no wonder things aren't done in your usual manner. Thanks for the chance to win! Take care of yourself!!!
Do small things with great love is one of my favourite quotes. Another from Mother Teresa is If you want to make the world a better place go home and love your family... I think that is how it goes! I love it. What a beautiful prize to offer!! Jenny what a time you have been through. I am seeing so many terrible things like all the cattle that drowned and so much hardship. Thank you for making a place of positivity and joy. xxx
Glad to see that the rain has stopped. I live in the same state as you (South-east Qld), and never got a drop, so it continues to remain very, very dry. I do hope after all of the cleanup, that 'back to normal' is soon and that you are feeling like your self again very soon XXX
This is so sweet especially with all you’ve been going through. We are all so glad that you’ve come through the monsoon and didn’t lose your home. We all prayed so hard. I just celebrated my birthday too. On the 8th. Have a very happy birthday and thanks for all you do.

So very glad that you are getting sorted out slowly, but you will get there, I printed off your wonderful 'Do small things with great love' I haven't done any embroidery in years so I am looking forward to sitting and doing that. Hi Jenny. I typed a rambling comment which seems to have flown off into the ether. Happy Birthday for 21st. Maybe my other comments will turn up soon.xx
Jenny, I know it is encouraging to have some normalcy again amid all the work of restoration from all the damages and frightening storm. Prayers continue for you, Mr. E, and all those who are trying to put things back together.
I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all the water issues in your new home. I hope things settle down soon and your allergies get better. Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday! I am loving the Gentle Art of Domesticity blogs. The pin cushions are so sweet. I love the vintage look of your giveaway and your pincushions. I hate this modern minimalism in home decor. It doen’t feel at all cozy and homey. Janice.snell@gmail.com
Happy Birthday. The news is good on how you are getting back to normal. You were in my prayers. Enjoy your day.

I am hoping today I can get this comment to work. I have tried twice before and failed. Jenny I hope all the cleaning up is going as smoothly as it can. So glad you were able to find someone to clean out the air cons. I have been watching the temps and it has been nasty your way. Please take care.
Thank you for your inspirational attitude during a very trying time. I pray that you recover soon with even more inner strength. Happy birthday, also. My oldest son was born 2/21/76 so it's a special day for us as well. Blessings to you and your family.
Wow Jenny you have been through so much.Thank you for the give away. Hugs .
Dear Jenny, I saw the Simplicity items at the fabric store last week when I was buying fabric for receiving blankets for the next grandbaby. She will be born in June which here in Texas will be Hot. I found some lovely gauze and plisse to make up. My daughter always likes to swaddle her wee ones. The last one was a May baby and I made up a number of blankets but she had gifted them after Rory Lou didn't need them. I don't mind they are so easy to do. I try and put something special around the edges. I have to admit the Simplicity display caught my eye and I had to look it all over but then I had to remind myself that since I don't know anything yet I had to keep walking. I am so glad that things are getting a little back to normal for you. Please know that I continue to hold you in my prayers.
I'm eagerly awaiting your BOM, the little bits you show are very enticing. Lovely giveaway.

Love your sweet giveaway...thank you for this chance to win. Continued prayers in your recovery and returning to a normal routine. God Bless you and yours
You have been a teacher of mine for a very long time. I have learned much from you through your bible studies and stitching magic! You have been prayed for over here in Texas as we know what devastation waters can be. We went through Hurricane Harvey! I praise God that you and your family are good and your house survived it all. We will continue to keep you prayed up and you get the rest you need so you can continue your ministry to us all over the world. Know that you are loved!

I too just discovered your blog! What a wonderful place to visit and learn! Happy Birthday
I love vintage! This is such an adorable bundle! Happy Birthday!
I have been following you many years. Love your designs. Please enter me in the giveaway. Thank you.
So thankful to read that prayers for your safety have been answered, and things are slowly, but surely, returning to normal. Happy upcoming birthday! After all thats gone on in the weeks leading up to it, I'm sure it will be one you'll remember. Can't wait for the new projects. The sneak peak with the word "tea" included is all you had to do to get my attention. I know its hot and humid there, being from the south I can relate, but I've found that hot tea is the best thing for soothing a sore throat. Love the February gifts, and yes, late is better than not at all, especially when what you're waiting for is so lovely. Take care of yourselves!
Even tough I am MUCH older than you I am learning a lot from you. I know my husband would say thank you if I told him why I have made so many changes. Hugs Linnie (linmid@yahoo.com)
Thank you so much for all the pincushion patterns. It was wonderful to have that to look forward to on Fridays! Happy Birthday, and may the Lord bless you and yours this coming year.
