I apologise for not sharing the next instalment of our Gentle Domesticity book study on Tuesday as I'd planned.
Listening to the Lord and my body at the moment, being mindful of the current season of life we're in and knowing that rest is needed in order to be refreshed, I'm stepping away for a little while.
Perhaps for a few days, maybe a week or more...but there's a needful lesson in this.
Giving out eventually takes a toll; it can quite simply empty you, and right now I'm physically running on empty.
My spirit is full and keeps filling because the Lord is moving me into a beautiful season of growth and understanding and guidance for what lies ahead...but my body and mind are tired and in true need of gentle rest.
"Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
Mark 6:31
Maybe you need a little rest too?
If so, be encouraged to know that while absent I am praying for you to walk in His perfect rest and to experience the fullness of God's perfect refreshment as well.
hugs

Jenny, take all the time you need. As much as you want to give time to others, you need to give time to yourself first. You are in our thoughts.
Take care of yourself, Jenny. Sending you hugs. xxx
Rest and revive yourself my friend. Blessings. In Christ, Carolyn
Many hugs to you too Jenny, and please take all the rest and time you need. May our wonderful Lord be with you always and gently guide you the rest and health you need.
Very wise to listen to the Lord, and to your body Jenny. Be Blessed, regards Robyn S.A
Jenny Take all the time you need,we know that you will be back in our lives when you are ready.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. ♥️
Very wise. When our body and mind tell us to rest, we need to listen. Enjoy your rest and please keep us in your prayers. As we will for you and your family. 💜💜💜
Sending love and prayers your way, Jenny. 😘
Hi Jenny,
Work, rest and play. How often is rest ignored? So glad that you're taking a time out to rest.
Don't feel guilty !
Enjoy time with family and friends! See you when you're feeling up to it :)
hugs,
Joanne
Hugs and prayers for you. x
Good on you, Jenny, for realising you need a break. I heard a speaker at a children's ministry conference talking about how the only way we can effectively give to others without draining ourselves dry is if we give from the overflow of what God is giving us, rather than being a conduit. She illustrated it by pouring water through a pipe and then pouring it into cups and allowing the water to overflow into the tray below. The same is true for other ministries, like what you do here. Blessings, Beth.
Dear Jenny you deserve all the rest you need sit back and smell the roses
Good on you for taking a break, Jenny. Have a lovely relaxing time with the Lord.
Hi Jenny take care my friend ,sending you lots of love xx
Jenny, we will look forward to having you back renewed and refreshed. God bless you and keep you!
May God give you all you need to be refreshed and renewed. I admire your wisdom in listening to what you know (and hearing what God is telling you) and following thru to do what is necessary. I pray often during each day, but frequently don't allow myself the quiet that is necessary to hear God's direction. God bless you always.
Good reminders here. We all tend to expend too much, and that catches up with us. I am learning to slow down. It has not been an easy lesson for me. Always in high gear so to speak. But it harms your health in the long run. So I had little choice after that. 'Slow' has never been my favorite way of living. But it now is what I do daily. Because I have to. You do not appreciate anything like you do, when it is gone. Health is more than gold.
Be well, Jenny. And do what you felt led to do. We only have one round in this earth. We want the Lord to satisfy us with long life.
Jenny, praying for you and I know God is answering. (((Hugs)))
Your gentle spirit, kind and loving nurture of us (abet from afar), will be missed. However, we all understand that good things come to those who wait prayerfully upon the Lord...and you, my dear, are certainly worth the wait. Be at peace with your decision, knowing that we are praying for you without ceasing. Refresh your body, mind and spirit in the Lord.
Take good care of yourself Jenny. With love. xx
Wishing you peace and happiness until your return (((hugs))) to you and the family - loved your recent photo's :)

Rest and take as much time as you need, keeping you in prayer. Sue
Rest and reflect, Jenny. We're not going anywhere and we'll be here when you are able to return. I will pray that God will provide with a recharged and restful mind, spirit and body.
Many angel healing hugs.
Oh baby girl. My math hubby Graham and I - who seem to emulate exactly that which you and yours are going through sooooo much - empathise completely and honour your needs completely. Bless you for your accountability.
You are doing what is right for you and your dear family. Enjoy the quiet time.
It is very thoughtful of you to let us know why you will be absent for a while. Have a good rest!
Take time to be kind to yourself. Giving is exhausting, so fill up again before you come back. Love you.
Viktig å lytte på kroppen også. Take care👍🏻
