Order restored, and then rest...

There were some wise comments left under yesterday's blog post.
Thank you, ladies...but I didn't read them until 'after' a full eight hours of re-organisation, so today (having not heeded that excellent advice) my chest is aching again and my throat is back to that nasty razor sensation. I feel okay, just sore and heavy.
A few days rest is ahead of me to avoid any further flu relapse.

So shall I show you the fruit of yesterday's labour anyhow? I now have clean lines in two rooms...order from my chaos. I took all these pics early this morning after sharing a cuppa with Blossom.

The Creative Space, where I sketch and plan and prepare to stitch...

The Office and Fabric Storage Room, where I hide my fabrics away from the glaring tropical sunlight of the Creative Space, and where I handle the 'business' side of Elefantz (and write my blog posts!)...

I'd do things differently if this was not a rental home, and if I was allowed to hang things on the walls, but for what I *can* do, this is lovely and bright and inspiring.

Now to rest up for the rest of the week and thankfully I have some sweetness to keep me occupied. Next February I have a quilt design that will feature in Homespun magazine and I wanted to make it with the Flower Sugar fabric range from Lecien.
I ordered a bundle from Eve at fabricdirect.com.au and her express parcel of total prettiness arrived yesterday...

Great service, great communication, and her shop has a choice of fabrics that melt my designer heart to pieces. If you're in Australia, you might like to have a little browse HERE.

Right now, though, I'm off to brew a pot of Vanilla Rose Tea and grab my stitching, and catch up with Downtown Abbey...no complaints to be heard from me at all...

Chaos...

Two weeks out of action.
Two weeks with a house uncared for.
Two weeks to ponder what I'd like to do when I'm well again.
Two weeks, and the lingering fingers of flu still thwart my need for total wellness... BUT...the time has come to press forward once more.

Mr E is well again. I am much better. It's just that all the crap that was sitting in my chest is working it's way out at last, thus keeping Mr Sorbent Tissues in business with my on-going supply of boxes filled with his eucalyptus and aloe paper hankies. I cough and cough, and it's yukky stuff that comes up, but at least it's getting out of my body. I see complete healing in my future. \o/

Because my body feels close to normal again, and because today begins a new week, I decided to act on my plan to rid my home of chaos!

Last night Mr E moved some of my work room furniture into our office because the brilliant sunshine that illuminates my sewing room/creative space has been fading my fabrics. I love the wide windows and clear natural light in that room, but to save my 'tools of trade' I needed to re-organise both that room and my office space.

As of 8am this morning, this is how far I'd come with my dismantling of both rooms. I have an entire day ahead  of me to tame the chaos below...

I told you it was chaos, right?

Stay tuned for tomorrow.
If I keep on task you may be privy to a most glorious transformation.

Have a brilliant week!
