Big reveal and final block!

Today you'll be able to download the 19th (and final) block of my Shabby Roses "Home" BOM!
Mr E and I are still battling this very nasty flu virus, but having to rest a lot gave me time to bind my quilt this weekend, and also design, stitch and attach a label.

This last block features appliqued 1-0 numbers, with a touch of shabby roses...

You can download the final block HERE in my shop for free!
And as well as the final block, you'll also find the quilt label in your pattern...

I decided to make a change to the final layout of the quilt as I was piecing the blocks together last month.
It just looked a bit 'lost' as I had originally graphed it (this graph was shared in each month's double pattern)...

To be honest, I was really disappointed in the final layout, but after I chose to add those extra aqua borders under and above the strips of blocks, I fell in love with it all over again!

Here are some of the finished close-up photos...

I hope you have enjoyed the last ten month journey of stitching and piecing Shabby Roses Home.
It was all made from fabric scraps, a few threads, and four buttons. How simple is that?

The individual 'double block sets' will stay in my Craftsy Shop until May 31st - after that date this will be available as one complete pattern only (a single pdf pattern purchase).
So if you're missing blocks to make the quilt go HERE to the shop before May 31st to complete your pattern set.

QUILTING: My friend Dawn Hay beautifully machine quilted Shabby Roses Home for me. If you're in Australia and looking for someone to stipple your UFO  quilt tops, go HERE. Dawn is excellent, and very affordable.

To see all the blocks just go HERE to the Shabby Roses Home page.

So what comes next?
Is there a new BOM on the horizon?

June 1st. It's a Block of the Week for 25 weeks.
You have about 5 weeks to complete Shabby Roses Home and prepare to start something new.
Excited?!
I am. Very excited.

hugs

Jenny, That is great. I do so love the little houses. Must be a thing of mine as the wonky house previous was a favourite as well. Your colours and workman ship never fail to please the eye. Hope you are feeling a heap better. Hugs Lynette Bramman.

Bless your sweet and encouraging heart, Lynette. Mr E and I are actually getting worse with this very nasty flu. I don't remember being this sick in years. xx

So pleased you've been downloading them along the way, Christine. x

Theoria, we are going downhill with this flu, which has surprised us, so Easter was quiet apart from all the coughing, sneezing, and general moaning every time we moved. Praying we start to improve ASAP. x

Beautiful work Jenny, lovely to see and especially with you and Mr E being ill with the dreaded lurgy, caring is sharing isn't the saying but probably good to have it together, flu virus can be nasty and seems to flair up again, not a nice way of enforcing you to take it easy, you are doing very well to be able to continue with your creating and stitching too. Have you heard of Sambucol (black elderberry) with vitamin c and zinc, available in lozengers and capsules, my family has found them very effective especially if taken at the first signs of cold or flu virus as well. There is also an ease a cold liquid for children which is equally effective for adults, it also has vitamin c and zinc. Hope Blossom is well again especially with the added complication of Asthma. Hope the Easter break has given you all a chance to get much needed rest, the bonus of using the time to enjoy lots of reading, tv shows and creating. Was lovely to see the work others are creating from your patterns too. Thank you for sharing all that you do, sending many good wishes for much improved health to you and your family, Happy Easter to you and yours, Judithann :-)

Judithann, you always comment with such kindness - thank you. xx
We are both so full of this flu that we can't leave the house to gather any supplies, and Blossom is working long days again. We'll just have to make a lot of vegetable juices and drink plenty of liquids in the hope they push the virus out. Again, thank you. {{hugs}} x

Jenny, hope it is a nice sunny day for you at least, sunshine is a tonic and you can't do any more than you already are with your healthy juices and drinks as you say keep the fluids up and fight that virus. Sending hugs and good wishes to you both, hope tomorrow sees a big improvement. Judithann, hugs :-)

We spent a few hours in the sun yesterday, Judithann, and ended up sunburnt. Tropics, you know? It's still extreme UV and we should have known better. Oh well, that's enough Vitamin D for a while. ;-)

Beautiful quilt Jenny - I could be tempted to join you next time! Gorgeous colours and fabrics and it all goes together so well. Glad you were able to be profitably employed while suffering! Hope you are on the way up now. xx

Oooh, block of the week! Sounds like fun! I love the way your quilt finished. It's so very pretty. I'm still looking at it and trying to decide if I like it better with the new strips or not. I'm slow to change. =)

Your work is always beautiful & elegant I have learned so much but watching all that you have to offer, even bought some of your patterns from CRAFTSY, THANKS for that. Looking forward to your new block of the week we will have to put our fingers in 3rd gear to get them done :-)

Chris, they are small blocks that can be stitched up in an hour, or two at the most. Hopefully being little we can all stay up to date with them. :-)

Jenny, once again you pulled out a stunner! I can't do handwork but I do enjoy the beauty that your talented fingers create! Praying that you and Mr. E are on the mend and get over that nasty flu quickly.
