I think this last year in particular I can come right in with you there Jenny. The quiet pottering days, being a Mum and Wife are so precious. I go out less than I used to, I love being at home. I meet up with friends but usually at our own homes, I am more and more content being a home bird! I hope you have a lovely weekend. xx

My children are always telling me Mom you need to go out more. My going out is church, swimming, library and the book store. It is what makes me happy, they will understand when they get older. I enjoy going to charity shops, I knew a women lived to 94 and that was her exercise. When the children were cleaning up her apartment they saw all the knick knacks with the price still on it 29 cents.

Jenny, This is a fantastic scripture! I have been striving for a quiet and peaceful life for many years and have succeeded quite well. Of course, there are always obstacles to overcome and always learning methods that work and do not work to strive for this. I will definitely be writing this verse down and may even design an embroidery project to go with it. My two step daughters are going to be arriving Sunday afternoon sometime and staying until Wednesday afternoon; they have promised to help me learn several things about my blog and we also have plans to create some Christmas Crafts/Gifts. I hope that you have a wonderful creative day and Thank You for sharing!

Where I now live people are on the go at all hours.
No one goes to each others homes for get togethers.
I am not use to this and even people at church don't invite members to their homes, I just don't get how you can have relationships.

I love this whole part of the epistle to the Thessalonians, and love to read in in KJV. It seems so poetic to me, as much of the Hebrew-written parts of the Bible are. You always pick something good to contemplate for Sunday. Thank you!

I sense a lesson coming on.... would you write a devotional on this verse? I am striving for a quiet life. In fact, I deactivated my facebook yesterday. It's a start!!

Me gustaría saber transmitir a los jóvenes lo bello que puede ser una vida tranquila. La felicidad que puede atraer la sencillez.
