A precious baby and a BOM block...

She's here and she's beautiful.
Our darling Blossom went through the labour of a lifetime, 50 hours with serious complications, but she's glowing with a pride and love that cannot be measured as she holds her newborn daughter, Cully May.

Our Blossom lost 80 percent of her blood volume and is having many blood transfusions, but she's coming along wonderfully. Motherhood has been her desire since she was 6 years old, and now her dream has come true.

Thank you for your prayers over these past few months. They proved to be more valuable than we ever imagined.

After the trauma and celebration of the past two days, something Blossom said made me change my mind about which Gentle Domesticity block I'd share with you this month.

She said "nothing went to plan", and those words are resonating deeply within me.

We do make plans, we do have hopes of a desired process and outcome - yet life isn't our plan.
It unfolds in it's own way and it's up to us to choose how we accept the challenges, joy and surprises that fall upon our life path.

Wherever you are, wherever I am, choose to bloom. Look for the good, look for the worthy, look for the hope.

Block 8 of Gentle Domesticity is a free download HERE.

bless you,

Glad that all was well in the end... I always tell pregnant people ( I'm including men here ) make your plans, that's good, but don't set your heart on it being only that way because childbirth has a way of turning everything upside down ! and read all the books but, please, realise there is one person who hasn't read them and that's the baby ! go with the flow not the "experts".... Wishing them all the best for a wonderful future xx

Welcome to the world little angel! Soooo gorgeous and I love her name. Is it just my imagination or does she look a little bit like you? So sorry to hear that Blossom had such a hard time with her labour and birth . It may take her a while to accept that it didn't go to plan but that is quite normal. I hope that she and little Cally bond beautifully and that Blossom recovers quickly so she can focus on mothering. Tell her that just because things didn't go to plan this time it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be the same next time, depending on the circumstances. ( I was a childbirth educator and birth helper as well as being a mum having had one unplanned Caesarean birth followed by a VBAC ). Wishing you and your extended family many angel hugs and blessings. This really puts a smile on one's dial.
